Just had my first consultation in Seoul

I wanted to share my consultation experience since I found Reddit really helpful when researching useful information before my trip.

Overall, I had a really positive first impression. Since I wasn't familiar with Seoul and the general area, I actually arrived about few minutes late and felt a bit embarrassed. But the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They didn't make me feel bad about being late at all which was a huge relief. She offered me some water and recommended that I download the Naver Map, telling me that it's what locals use to get around. It immediately made me feel more at ease even though it was a small gesture. The consultation itself was in a private room, which made me feel comfortable.

Everything was conducted in English, and communication was smooth throughout with no language barrier or misunderstandings. Before my appointment, I was honestly worried that I'd be pressured into lots of expensive treatments. First, I saw the doctor, who asked about my concerns and what I wanted to improve, then shared his professional opinion and recommendations without being pushy or trying to upsell any unnecessary procedures.

Afterwards, a staff member came in to walk me through the details and pricing more clearly. I also found the pricing to be more reasonable than I expected, which I was pleasantly surprised about. They explained the treatment options clearly, and I never felt pressured to make a decision or add extra procedures.

Luckily, I left feeling very comfortable and impressed with the experience. I already have consultations booked with a couple of other clinics, so this is only my first consultation experience. I'll compare everything before making my final decision, and I'll update again after treatment if I decide to go ahead.

English speaking dermatology clinic in Seoul – looking for recommendations

Hi guys,

I'm planning a trip to Seoul for next month and my friend and I are looking to visit a dermatology clinic while we're there.

We are looking for recommendations for clinics that are able to provide consultations in english. We really want to avoid any misunderstandings, so using translation apps during the appointment probably isn't ideal as you would imagine.

It doesn't have to be a specific type of treatment, and we're open to both general dermatology and cosmetic procedures. Just somewhere reliable where communication won't be an issue.

Thanks in advance

Ultherapy and Thermage question

Hey guys, I've been thinking about doing Ultherapy and / or Thermage and just wanted to ask if anyone has had experience with either or both procedures. Is doing them simultaneously something worth considering? I have mild jowls, and im anxious about them developing further as I age. I dont know, I guess im just asking if it's worth the cost.

Apologies if question goes against subreddit rules. I'm unsure if this counts as medical advice.

Thanks in advance!

Turning 41 soon. Looking for lifting cream recommendations

Hi all, title explains it all really. F, 41 and have been using Lancôme Rénergie Multi-Action Firming Cream for over six months now

Results were excellent for the first few months. I could clearly feel a slight lifting effect around my jawline, and my skin looked tighter. I was satisfied at the time. However, over the last month or two, I haven’t noticed much change. The moisturising effect is still decent, but the lifting effect seems to have slowed down.

Obviously, no cream can work miracles, but I wonder if my skin has simply got used to it? Or maybe it never actually had a lifting effect to begin with (just a temporary hydrating effect that has gradually faded over time).

My skin is neutral, and I’m happy to spend a bit more on a  recommened cream. Has anyone around my age actually seen a difference with any? Or is there something else you'd recommend instead like a serum or overnight mask?

Thanks in advance.
