First Week of School- Already Stressed!

Hi! I just finished my first week of school and I feel very overwhelmed lol. Obviously, I suck at scanning right now, but I’m not worried about that yet as I’ve only scanned 2/3 days for about 3hrs each.

The specific views are TRIPPING ME UP tho. No matter how much I try, I cannot for the life of me capture the right ventricular outflow view. I can do PLAX and in flow, but out flow is killing me.

I’m also having a hard time identifying the heart structures outside of PLAX view.

Also, physics is going to kill me. The only physics class I’ve ever taken was conceptual physics, so I’m already scared for that class and the physics registry exam…

Any tips for studying or scanning?

Can you be a sonographer with facial piercings?

Hello! I am a current student and for my program I had to flip up my septum and switch out my nostril piercing for a a clear spacer (which I also have to cover with concealer).

I was wondering if when I land an actual job in this field, are facial piercings generally allowed? I know nurses who have told me that some sonographers at their hospitals have facial piercings, dyed hair, and tattoos (which are also not allowed in my program).

Obviously, piercings are not a dealbreaker for me, but I do love them and was actually planning on getting more when I graduate. I also wanted to get some more tattoos, but right now I’m thankful the one I have is covered completely!

And if they’re not typically allowed, what if I just like wear a face mask… lolllllll

Adult Dance Classes In or Around Statesboro?

Hi everyone! I’m moving to statesboro for school soon and wanted to see if there were any dance studios offering adult dance classes?

Contemporary would be preferred but I also enjoy ballet and jazz.

I get it if there’s not… not to offend but statesboro doesn’t look like a very interesting town lol.

I’m willing to drive 45 minutes away if I have to!

HESI vs TEAS difficulty?

Hi everyone! I took the TEAS in November and scored an 82.7%. I have to take the HESI for a seperate school and have forgotten to study… it’s in two days.

How similar are these tests difficulty wise? I struggled the most on the science part of the TEAS but still got a decent score.

Which parts of the science portion should I focus on for these two days before the test as well?

So basically for like three years now, every time I wipe my ass, there is bright red blood on the toilet paper.

When it first happened I was just like “ah man guess I have hemorrhoids.” But back then, it was like a dot on the paper or a very small line. Now, it’s bigger. Not huge, but noticeably more than it used to be. It’s also happening every time instead of occasionally.

No blood in the stool that I can see! Also nothing else happening plus I’ve been keeping my diet very clean and tracking everything to the best of my ability.

Just hemorrhoids like I’m guessing?
