Peeing a lot on empty stomach

Wondering if anyone else has a lot of frequency on an empty stomach??

It’s like any amount of water I drink goes straight to my bladder, and I need to pee very often. After a meal, I can hold it normally for several hours and feel pretty ok. What’s the mechanism of this?

Have been like that for months after two UTIs and treating ureaplasma, it’s driving me crazy. Have done lots of private testing and unlikely to be an infection now but will still retest in summer.

How long to try pelvic floor physio for?

For those who have tried pelvic floor physio therapy, how many times did you go before you could tell if this is working or not?

I’m trying to understand if my ongoing symptoms are related to pelvic floor muscles or not, going to physio several times did nothing.

Dog walking

I live in Athens and would love to be able to walk a dog every now and then just for pleasure. I am not looking to get paid for it, just to get connected to someone near me who would be comfortable for me to walk their dog occasionally.

I know some countries have apps for this so wondering if there’s anything similar here?

How long to do pelvic floor therapy to see if it works?

Hi all, I have had ongoing vulva, urethra irritation and frequency after infections and it’s not going away.

I have done pelvic floor physio 3 times and I haven’t noticed a difference. She said my pelvic floor is fine but that I have tension in other places like the abdomen.

Should I actually keep going? Or rule out that it’s not muscular at this point?

Thanks ❤️

Irritation after peeing

Hi everyone, Really need some help to trying understand the cause of my symptoms and what I can do next.

Following two UTIs and treating ureaplasma last year (think i felt worse after), I have had ongoing vulva and urethra irritation and frequency.

My last test in December showed almost only iners both on vaginal swab and urine (I took NAC prior to testing). I have also gone to a microbiologist who didn’t isolate other bacteria. Since then I have been inserting Lifespace and taking it orally. It hasn’t made any difference.

My symptoms now are vulva and urethra soreness and irritation, especially after peeing or bowel movement, itsubsides after about 20 mins, and frequency. It doesn’t happen all the time but i can’t tell what the driving factor behind it is!! I also have a lot less frequency on a full stomach and pretty much can feel normal for hours. I don’t have any vaginal symptoms.

Things I have tried and haven’t helped:

- probiotics as mentioned
- did pelvic floor physical therapy 3 times, haven’t noticed a difference. Should I keep going?? She said my pelvic floor is fine, have some tension in other places like abdomen
- estrogen cream and various barrier creams to protect the skin externally
- two medications for overactive bladder made no difference
- topical steroid cream for external inflammation

I have been taking Hiprex and d mannose for UTI prevention which I think is working.

What are my options from now on? I will be working on some gut issues (SIBO) which I believe could be contributing but not sure what is causing my symptoms and what doctors to even go to from now on.
Any help would be much appreciated ❤️

▲ 1 r/SIBO

I have heard that SIBO can cause urinary symptoms and im trying to understand if it is the main cause of mine.

I have hydrogen SIBO that I will be addressing with a naturopath, also h pylori and leaky gut.

I had two UTIs and all cleared up now but i have ongoing frequency and vulval and urethra burning and soreness.

It feels like i both have more urine sometimes and that my capacity is bladder reduced. Sometimes when my skin and urethra are irritated, I need to pee almost again after going and feel like im not completely emptying.

Could this be from SIBO? What were your urinary symptoms like?

Thanks all ❤️

Hi ladies, anyone found that their gut was causing their urinary, vulval or vaginal symptoms? And I don’t mean as in bacteria travelling down and causing an infection but symptoms without an infection?

I have had urinary and vulva symptoms since last summer, treated ureaplasma and two UTIs, been supposedly infection free for months (have run many tests and taken biofilms). My microbiome is iners dominant, been using probiotics to shift.

My ongoing symptoms are urinary frequency (as in sometimes producing more urine and also reduced capacity), vulva soreness and burning, urethra irritation and sometimes immediately feeling like i need to pee again after going. Concentrated urine seems to make things worse.

I have gone to pelvic floor therapy, no immediate issues noticed other than tight abdominal. I don’t feel better after a session.

I have had bloating since my symptoms started and did gut tests which showed:

H pylori

SIBO hydrogen

leaky gut

Low oxalate bacteria

Could these issues be the reason why my symptoms are not going away? I think my symptoms are now skin barrier and nerve related but nothing seems to help.

Im running out of ideas on why my system can’t regulate, could the gut be the reason? Or anything else that stands out.

Any thoughts welcome ❤️
