Finished up the paintjob on this fantastic mini! Very happy with how my conversion came out and he blends right in with the Legionaries and Chosen he will be walking into battle beside. The Dark Angels helm is a recent trophy he has taken as payback for Vraks. I am excited to get some games in with him! Red Corsairs are such a striking army and keep me going in the hobby even when my muse wanes.
Grabbed a second MoE and went to work chopping him up >:) feels very fitting considering the model lol. I shaved away some of the stitching on the cloak and am filling it in and sanding it down to give it less of a flesh look and more of a patched cloth look. Red Corsair shoulder pad and Shoulder pad from the Legionary upgrade sprue really tie this cloth look together! I am happy with the axe as well, the Depredator axe from the Raptors would have also worked well, but wasn’t giving me the silhouette I was looking for.
Not overwhelmingly different, but wanted to see how easy this was and it was very easy. Chest swap, hand, and head! I had the stupid little hood, but figured this is a far more iconic Chaos helm. If you are thinking about doing a swap go for it! For my next conversion I am going to sand down and fill in the stitches to make the robe one piece, saw off the ribcage shoulder pad and add the two handed Legionary axe. I will be giving that model a WE helmet, I am quite excited!
Hello! I am thinking about picking up Be’Lakor and some other Daemons in the next few months as I think they are such cool models and figured a good way to mix them in with my existing Ted Corsairs army, would be to make a Shadow Legion list! Looking for critiques as I am not sure about some of the nitty gritty parts of this army. All of the CSMs included I feel strongly about and will at least perform well my questions are mainly about the Daemon side. Questions: Should my Flesh Hounds and Nurglings be reinforced? Is Fade to Darkness worth it? Is a GUO a good distraction? Are the Poxwalkers viable?
I have made this list to be playable and also flavourful, my army loves Khorne and many if their most faithful are committed to him, and their Daemon Engines and Tanks are blessed by Nurgle for added toughness. That is why I chose to focus the way I did. I also think it might be fun to run a list led by Be’Lakor and one each of the Greater Daemons, but I don’t think that would be very good… Let me Know what you think! List below. Just finished assembling this guy and I have never been more in love with this hobby. Corsairs have been my favourite army all the way since I read the Imperial Armour books with them, and I am so happy to have this army finally coming to fruition! This warrior is now ready to spill blood against the servants of the corpse emperor atop his roaring steed. This is my first time using green stuff and I need work, but if there is anything you want to try in this hobby you have to take that jump! The best time to start is yesterday, the second best time is today :) Inspired and supported with techniques by Aimless Crusader who I will tag below!
