Advice on utility holes in logs

We are expected to get fiber internet in the next few months and our home is two stories with logs on the first floor and traditional framing/wood siding on the second floor. When we moved in a few years ago, I was concerned about our wireless ISP drilling into the logs so I had them run the cabling up to the second floor and come in through the wood siding. When I get the fiber internet installed, should I have them avoid going through the logs as well or am I being overly concerned?

Also we recently ditched our satellite dish and I have cabling from that to remove. There is one entry point in the logs (put in by prior owner) under a screen porch. What would you recommend using to fill that hole? We also have 2nd floor cabling to remove so I will need to fill a hole in the wood siding -- would appreciate any recommendations on that as well.

Took the plunge and cancelled Dish today!

This was a big step for me especially considering I have potato internet right now (WISP -- 25MB down) but my Dish bill was going to be around $170 with the upcoming increase and there is never anything good on most days. I must have done well because it only took 20 minutes and I've heard of other people being on the phone with them for much longer. I told them that my wife and I are empty nesters now and we don't watch TV at all which made the subsequent offers to keep the service pointless. They are making me ship back the Hopper but they aren't making me return the LNB. They tried but I told them it is mounted too high on my roof for me to reach safely. Which is mostly true since I am currently nursing a broken pinky toe. ;)

I'll be rolling with Philo and DirecTV sports pack as the replacements for now. I have been testing them the past few days with my potato internet and they did surprisingly well. Makes me wish I had cut the cord sooner!

Fubo vs. Fox One for NFL

I'm testing out various streaming services primarily for stream quality and consistency to replace Dish. NFL games on my local Fox station are a priority so I'm planning to do trial tests of Fubo and Fox One. Looking for comments on what you think of the streaming quality of each including which one to try first. Also note that I have potato internet right now (25mb down) so I will need a service that doesn't come with built in lags and issues.

New local sports channels missing

I was looking forward to getting the two DC sports radio stations on Channels 186 and 187 but they aren't showing up on the factory radio in my 2016 4runner. Is my radio too old for these channels or do I need to do something else to get them?

First new TV in 9 years...will it really matter what I pick?

Prefacing this by saying that I'm exhausted from researching TVs. My current TV is a Bravia XBR-65X900E that I have had for 9 years. I'm adding a new 75" TV for my basement rec room and I want it to look great for console gaming and sports. Is it safe to assume that really anything I buy will be a big improvement over my current Bravia -- so I should just stick with the best priced model from any of the top manufacturers? Or are there some models that may actually look/perform worse?

Maytag MDB5100 width?

Need help finding the exact width of our Maytag MDB5100 that just died. The space is supposed to be 24" wide but this machine is wedged in there pretty tight and we will probably have no more wiggle room for the new one. User manual didn't have specs and I can't find info on this exact model. Help!
