My very own 112 Ranger Thin Pro in Magnacut

I knew I was going to pocket one of these "modern" takes on the classic. This 112 Slim Heritage Elite Ranger is awesome. When I saw what Buck did to retain the original look but reduce the heft and thickness, I knew one was going in my pocket. Not to mention the wicked great Magnacut steel. I went with the original brass bolsters to keep that look as close to the original as possible. I already ordered a brass thumb stud to try on this beauty I think it was a missed opportunity from Buck, but I get keeping it as close to the original design as possible. I'm ready to pull the trigger on one of their new crossbar 110's when they become available this fall too!

Finn's DNA Results are in!

This is not a surprise; I was told he was a purebred JRT but as he grew up, he looked more and more like a Rat terrier. Really the difference is his ears pointed at about 7 months, and he has remained slender and more athletic than your typical JRT. No matter what he's my best buddy!

A Huge Happy Birthday to My Boy Finn!

Today Finn turned 6 years old. My first JRT and we share a special bond. His day had to have a play date with his daughters Zoe and Maggie. They absolutely love these romps!

He's supposed to be a JRT but maybe he's a Rat Terrier? I doing an Embark DNA test, that should settle it, what do you all think?

This is Finn, his adult weight is 15lbs and he is extraordinarily athletic and full of energy. He possesses a strong prey drive and loves catching frisbees, sticks and balls. It doesn't matter to me what his breed is, but I am curious. He looks a lot like a Ratty but was sold to me as a Jack Russell. Hopefully the Embark DNA test will solve my mystery!

JRT Puppy Love!

Some shots of our pups from when we studded out Finn. He got to meet his pups just a few hours after their birth. It was an incredible experience, and his behavior was absolutely gentlemanly! He still visits several of them and lives with the "Pick of the Litter" so he gets to interact with many of them regularly.
