I’ve had this buck 110 and I thought I lost it, I just found it in my storage unit in a random
Box, it was my grandfather and he told me a story about it and I can’t remember why this is special. Is this a custom grip job? And do you guys think that’s a 74 for the year? Is that possible with this knife? Thanks for the help, I know enough about buck knives to make myself look like and idiot, so thanks for the help.
301 and 317. 52 years and going strong. Gifted from my grandfather to my father for a highschool graduation present in 1974. Given to me about 10 years ago. Cleaned them up a little the other day and thought you all may appreciate some old school.
I’ve always been impressed with Buck’s spa treatment. Such an amazing deal too. Two reblades and the spa treatment for all three knives for $26.95.
Buck 119 Special fixed-blade knife celebrating America's Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary).
Bought it off Ebay for around 120 aud. Idk something just feels off about it. I feel as if it dulled to quick, and the wood does not look like ebony.
Trying to gauge how valuable an old 2 line inverted Buck 118 might be. Only way I knew this was a 118 is the sheath. It looks pretty similar to the 105...
I just received my custom buck 110 that I ordered 2 months ago and there seems to be some scratches/ possible cracking. Is this normal? Should I send it back?
I knew I was going to pocket one of these "modern" takes on the classic. This 112 Slim Heritage Elite Ranger is awesome. When I saw what Buck did to retain the original look but reduce the heft and thickness, I knew one was going in my pocket. Not to mention the wicked great Magnacut steel. I went with the original brass bolsters to keep that look as close to the original as possible. I already ordered a brass thumb stud to try on this beauty I think it was a missed opportunity from Buck, but I get keeping it as close to the original design as possible. I'm ready to pull the trigger on one of their new crossbar 110's when they become available this fall too!
Other than the traditional 112 110, what other folding knives does buck offer that are in the strong/heavy use category? While I like my 112 and 110 slim select and my 450, the handles flex and deflect more than id like when flexing the blade. Or do I need to look into another brand for a strong folder?
Can aggressive actions be done with this knife, like a Ka-Bar?
