I have a 1942 Walther PPK (32 acp)

Presumably used by either soviet police or a Russian soldier in WWII. Any help tracking down the origin of this piece? I figured since there were family pictures in the handgrip of the gun that it was most likely used on the Eastern front by a Soviet soldier.

Shifter arm broken bolt

I was mounting the shifter arm back onto the shift rod on my 03 vlx 600 and the pinch bolt snapped before the arm closed all the way onto the splines, would it be safe to drill the hole out and run a nut and bolt through it or should I re tap the hole and go up a size?
