Aambala (2015)

Story was Good, A typical masala format, i loved how It wnds up being that the man that set up Vishal is his brother and A random begger duo in Madurai is their other brother and father. Madras to madurai item song was good.... i loved each heroine and also the reverse patriarchy in the family, while i also liked the songs. Hiphop Tamizha did So well with this. My favorite character though-its RDX. Played by Santhanam. His name is Rajasekhar. due to mishaps done by Saravanan (Vishal) including hilarious things like:
police station explosion
accidently shooting boss
the movie never fails to entertain you. Saravana, after going to his relatives village re opens the village's police station and Gets Rajsekhar a Job, as "RDX" a fearsome nickname. i dont think Hip hop tamizha made this but there was a beautiful Song made for RDX in this movie. here are the lyrics-

Advice on my story? [Survival Horror, 397 words]

My story is basically that Vemal, a diaspora sri lankan tamil in canada has a uncle in madurai, india, who sends a news article of a Minister's son going missing in a cave in sirumalai, and it gets heavily restricted. rumors spread that is extremely deep, and Vemal gets the idea to cave dive there. Vemal had experience in Cave diving in North america, and does it with his childhood friend, Abdullah, a Senegelese Canadian. they both go to Madurai with their friend, Pandivelu, a indo carribean from canada. they all stay in a guest house, get maps, and go into sirumalai through kuttralampatti, a village near vadipatti. in the village, they hear rumors of a monster in the cave, but ignoring it, they go into the caves. they sneak in by driving using motorcycles into the woods, at night, climbing a tree near a fence, and go down to the cave. they then go into the cave, but sumehow trigger an alarm that calls to a nearby town called Natham.
they use ropes to close a large rock inside, but the rope snaps, and they get stuck inside. Vemal and Abdullah, and Pandi decide to go down anyway. as they descend, Pandi stays behind as he cant cave dive, and goes into another direction while being left alone as he heard the voice of Abdullah telling him to follow them into one direction. as he takes a tunnel into that direction, the monster itself catches him and kills him, revealing it was a voice mimic. meanwhile, a team of 5 Police officers come from Natham police station, led by DSP Arumugam. they use a team to destroy the rock, and follow. Abdullah goes down a wet rock, slips, and hits his head and falls into a Lake.
other officers go down, one gets stuck between 2 rocks, and the others leave him to go deeper, and this officer gets killed. The other officers also die to circustances of the cave, and the DSP gets his hand stuck as he falls down a underground cliff area within the cave, and his hand gets stuck between 2 rocks. he manages to climb up, but breaks the hand. he goes up, and calls a rescue team.
meanwhile,
Vemal tries to go as deep as possible and ends up getting stuck in a narrow tunnel, and he slides and crawls through the Narrow area, a small tectonic shift causes The rock above to split, and the middle rock Falls into Vemal's head and kills him.
The rescue team comes, and the DSP lies that the other officers went down, he had a cramp, and couldnt go down. he says the intruders went missing underground, and so did the officers.

why do people simplify stuff like dravidian languages to "tamil is oldest"

why do people say "tamil is the father/mother of all langauges" or that its 5000 years old, or that telugu came from tamil and sanskrit, ive even heard claims that because dravida is a sanskrit word, dravidian language idea is a myth, and that all dravidian languages just broke off from tamil. also, no langauge cna truly be a "father of all others", and words like arisi ending up in arabic as ruz is because of trade, NOT bc of relation, how did this oversimplification even happen???
