Wonder if anyone knows why? Seems like it started this week but for the past 2 years I only remember the 350s operating this route and before, the 788 1x daily. Why the sudden switch?

Don’t get me wrong I love it, just curious.

Without doubt, have to say the 777 is infinitely better in Q Suites than the A350.

For starters, it’s so tough to find space for all my luggage in the 4 flights I’ve taken this year on the 350s. Had to move mattress toppers around and crew had to move their bags etc. 777s? No issue at all.

Secondly, overheard air vents. Love the 777 for this reason. Why QR didn’t install overhead air vents on the 350s I have no clue

Thirdly, the overall aircraft is nicer. Hearing those GE90s and having a wider fuselage makes for a lovely flight:

Here I was about to board a flight to London and was paged by the gate. Granted, I knew it wasn’t an upgrade since I was in Polaris right.

Anyways, I head down there and they show me past the gate area before boarding, right to the top of the jet bridge where 5 CBP officers were waiting.

Not the usual SSSS checks. Was interviewed for about 25 minutes and never once had my luggage checked. Grilled me on every small piece of information about how much I made, what I did, where I was traveling etc. and they never once said why, even when I asked. No one else on the flight was questioned, just me…

Eventually they let me go and all ended up fine but was odd to be grilled like this as a white American. It’s a first for me I suppose and wonder if anyone else has dealt with this?

Usually don’t do these posts but was nice to find EWR-CDG-SIN for 115K miles+718 USD in taxes within a few days before departure. FlyingBlue btw

Didn’t even realize AMEX had a transfer so was cool to get it for under 100K.

Cheaper than a 4k OW ticket in J so that’s all I care about and with 30+ million points, helps saving a few thousand on personal travel here.

Gosh, airfare has gotten pricey these days for cash.

Look, if you are someone like OMAAT that keeps it lowkey, boards early, and keep to themselves, fine. Love it, and I really appreciate people like this who can give back to helping us decide for the future on seats/aircraft etc.

But if I see another instagrammer using an Insta360 or GoPro, making noise, and dancing in cabins 🤦‍♂️.

It’s not just United and sorry for the rant, but really annoys me. And then they lie saying either United was “not great” or “really good”.

Polaris is great if you get an odd row, the food is horrible. We get it… no need to bring out camera films for all this.

The worst part: United endorses them. Can’t stand it. That’s why really annoys me. Saw a video of a +sized woman recording flying and UA commented on it something good even though she didn’t pay for two seats she said in the video.
