[iOS][$69 → FREE 1 year access] LiftAI – AI Workout Trainer

I’m a solo dev and I built LiftAI because two things broke every fitness app for me:

  1. Rigid plans fail in the real world. They fall apart the second you’re tired, short on time, or the squat rack is taken.
  2. Food trackers suck at real food. Try searching for your mom’s cooking or a homemade cultural dish, and you get 15 wrong entries. It makes tracking a guessing game.

So, I built an AI trainer and nutrition coach that moves with you instead of against you.

Here’s the TL;DR:

  • 🧠 Real-Time AI Coach: Workout needs to change? Tell the AI you’re short on time or the machine is taken, and it rewrites your plan on the fly.
  • 🍔 Type-to-Track Nutrition: No more barcode scanning or broken databases. Just type naturally ("two rotis, dal, half a cup of rice") and the AI instantly parses your macros and calories. It actually understands cultural and home-cooked meals!
  • 📱 Frictionless Logging: Fluid UI, rest timers, exercise demos, and Dynamic Island support so you aren’t glued to the screen.
  • 📊 Smart Progress: Auto-tracks volume, PRs, consistency heatmaps, and pace-to-goal projections.

🎁 I’m giving away FREE 1-Year PRO access! I want to build something people actually love, so I’m looking for active testers to help shape the next updates.

Let’s build a better fitness app together!

Solo dev needs early users for an AI fitness app (LiftAI, iOS) — free Pro month for feedback

I'm a solo developer and just launched LiftAI — an AI personal trainer and nutrition coach for iOS. It turns a short onboarding into a tailored training split and macro plan, coaches you through every session, and has an AI chat coach that rewrites the plan in plain language when life gets in the way (tweaked knee, busy week, no barbell).

I need real users more than anything right now. Offering a free month of Pro (full features, no ads, unlimited AI) to anyone who'll use it for a bit and send honest thoughts. Most curious about: does it actually fit into a real routine, and is the AI coaching worth paying for?

Comment or DM and I'll get you a code.

I got tired of paying for a trainer and a calorie app, so I built one thing that does both

For a while I was juggling a coach who sent me a static PDF plan and a separate app for tracking macros. They never talked to each other, and the moment my week went sideways — tweaked knee, no barbell, traveling — the whole plan just fell apart. So I spent the last few months building LiftAI to fix that for myself.

The idea is one loop instead of five apps: you do a quick goal-first setup (your stats, training days, equipment, injuries) and it builds you a real training split plus a calorie and macro target from your actual numbers.

The home screen just tells you today's workout, the player coaches you through each set with timers and a Live Activity in the Dynamic Island, and there's an AI chat coach that'll swap an exercise or rewrite your whole plan in plain English when life gets in the way.

Here's the honest part, since this sub appreciates it: every AI call costs me real money, so I can't make it all free forever. There's a free tier (ads, limited AI) and a Pro tier (no ads, unlimited AI, everything).

I'll send a free month of Pro to anyone who'll actually use it and give me feedback. Comment or DM and I'll get you a code — happy to talk shop on the build too.

My App got almost 200 downloads in a few days and it feels unreal!

Hey!!

I've been working part-time on my app for the past few months and finally took the plunge and launched it. Seeing those download numbers come in has honestly been surreal — something I built in my spare time is actually being used by real people.

Now, full transparency — right after launch I started finding lots of bugs. But honestly? I'm so glad I shipped when I did. You can test in a simulator all you want, but nothing beats real users finding edge cases you never thought of. Launching early was the right call, and that's a lesson I won't forget.

What the app is — LiftAI

It's an AI-powered fitness app for iOS. Here's what it does:

  • AI Coach — chat with an AI that builds you personalized workout programs on the fly. Ask it to "build me a push day" and it actually generates a full structured plan for you
  • Workout Tracking — log sets, reps, and weight with a built-in rest timer. Exercises come with animated GIF demonstrations so you know exactly what you're doing
  • Nutrition Tracking — log meals, track calories and macros with a clean visual breakdown
  • Progress Analytics — streaks, body weight trends, and workout history so you can actually see yourself improving over time

The idea was to combine a proper structured workout tracker with an AI coach that can actually adapt to you — rather than just handing you a generic 5-day split and calling it coaching.

I'd genuinely love some feedback — on the UX, features you wish it had, things that feel clunky, anything. You can download it here:

And if you run into any bugs... yeah, I'm already on it 😅

Thanks for reading!
