Hey everyone! Thanks for the awesome feedback on last week's inaugural master list. I've run the raw data through my local tracking engine for this upcoming holiday weekend, filtered out the automated clutter (no, we don't need 4:00 AM virtual housing fairs), and cross-referenced the times with venue schedules.

This is an absolute blockbuster weekend in the area. Since Independence Day falls on Saturday, we've got a massive Friday night fireworks party on the lake, the return of First Friday Gallery Night downtown, and packed summer winery lineups.

What do people use to find local events around here?

Wasn't sure where else to share this

getscenescout.com/buffalo

Pulls from Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, local venues, breweries, etc. Still early. Let me know if anything looks wrong or if I'm missing somewhere.

I built a Rochester events search engine β€” roast it

Kept missing events because they're scattered across like 6 different sites so I just built my own thing. Which I have been using for a few months. I decided to make it public for everyone in the community to utilize.

You type what you're looking for and it finds it. "free stuff this weekend" or "live music tonight" or whatever. Pulls from Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, local venues, university calendars, farmers markets, estate sales, all of it.

It's free. No account. Probably missing things, let me know what.
