Which MSc CS uni should I choose for good ROI and placements? (9.5 CGPA / India)

Hey everyone,

I’m an international student from India looking to lock in my choice for an MSc in Computer Science / Advanced CS. My ultimate goal is landing a Tech role in the UK.

I come from a middle-class background and will be funding this entirely through a ₹50 Lakhs (~£48k) education loan, so Return on Investment (ROI) and university brand pull with tech recruiters are my top priorities. I want a strong university name that helps bypass initial automated CV-screening filters.

🧵 My Options & Status:

  • University of Manchester — MSc Advanced CS (Awaiting decision)
  • University of Warwick — MSc Computer Science (Awaiting decision)
  • University of Southampton — MSc Computer Science (Offer Received! 🎉)
  • King’s College London (KCL) — MSc Computer Science (Awaiting decision)

📊 The Dilemma:

  • Manchester & Warwick: Seem like the absolute gold standards for core tech targets. Manchester offers a massive local city tech ecosystem, while Warwick offers lower campus living costs near Coventry.
  • Southampton: A highly respected, deeply technical backup that I already have in hand.
  • KCL: Great global brand name, but astronomical London rent heavily penalizes the short-term ROI for a middle-class student.

If I get offers from all of them, which one should be my absolute top choice to maximize my employment prospects while keeping loan stress manageable?

my_qualifications: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM Chennai with a CGPA of 9.5/10. Received a direct offer from the University of Southampton and currently awaiting final decisions from the others.

Manchester vs Warwick vs Southampton vs KCL for MSc Computer Science? Need best ROI & Tech Name Brand (International Student)

Hey everyone,

I’m an international student from India looking to lock in my choice for an MSc in Computer Science / Advanced CS for the upcoming cohort. My ultimate goal is landing a Software Development Engineer (SDE) role in the UK.

I come from a middle-class background and will be funding this entirely through a massive education loan (~₹50 Lakhs / £48k+), so Return on Investment (ROI) and university brand pull with tech recruiters are my top priorities.

I’ve mapped out my options across Manchester, Warwick, Southampton, and KCL. How do these actually rank when you strip away the generic world ranking hype and focus purely on tech prestige, living costs, and job prospects?

Accenture Workday showing “No Longer Under Consideration” after LOI – Haven’t received BGV yet

Hi everyone,

I’m an on-campus selected student for the AEH (Advanced App Engineering Analyst) role at Accenture. I successfully cleared the recruitment process and also received my LOI. I created my Workday account as instructed

However, in my Workday portal, under Applications, the status is showing as “No Longer Under Consideration” / inactive.

The confusing part is that many students from my college who were selected for the same AEH role have already started receiving their BGV mails and offer letters over the last 2 weeks, but I still haven’t received any BGV communication.

I also called the Accenture helpdesk number, and they informed me about my allocated location, which is Pune, so I’m even more confused about why my Workday status is inactive.

I’ve already mailed Accenture regarding this issue, but I wanted to ask here:

  • Has anyone else faced the same Workday inactive status after receiving LOI?
  • Is this a normal Workday glitch/status change?

Would really appreciate if someone who faced a similar situation could help. Thanks!
