New books

I didn't really know what to title it, so pardon me but guys, I regret reading the series right now.

Like I just wish I had waited until all the books were out because not only do I need Claire and Gibs but I NEED katie and feely. I also love hughliz, I just don't like them as much as some do. But like Chloe, if you're seeing this, I NEED the series to be done yesterday. I am literally YEARNING to read about Claire and Gibsie falling in love all over again and Patrick watching from the sidelines.

I'm not excited about the cheating though. Anyone else? I've just never been a big fan of cheating and I don't want katie OR hughie to cheat on one another.

Anyways, give me the rest of the series NOW. I just need them all to have a happy ending so I can sleep peacefully.

Also is it me but do I feel like I mostly think about Lizzie because the 13s and the 6s ended happily and Taming 7 was well...whatever that was? (No hate lol but 400 pages was not enough. We should've definitely had a liz situation where the first part was just Gibsie when he was younger being raped [okay that sounds SUPER odd please fogrive my awful writing but do you guys get what i mean?])

Like since Liz didn't finish her story happily, I just think more about her.

Anyways, I just wanted to vent.

Bye :)

Hughie being a "bad" boyfriend

I might get attacked for this but remember, this is just my opinion and feel free to write what you think about this too.

So i saw a post on social media recently of the whole Liz pushing Gibs in the water and Hughie yelling at her. People have been hating on him and saying that he acted badly.

I think he actually reacted well and look, I know that he's Lizzie's ex and all so he understands her but I want to remind you guys that number one, he witnessed Gibsie's family die. Not only did Gibsie relive trauma but so did he, and what he saw was his friend almost dying twice.

Just like Claire, who by the way gets flamed for slapping Liz but what did you guys want them to do?

I am SO happy Patrick defended her but we need to stop looking at this from Lizzie's lens and look at them from literally everybody else.

Hughie and Claire (especially Hughie) were not just going to stand there and let her push him and claim it an 'accident'. It definitely was, we know that and they know but they acted out of panic and obviously snapped at her.

Must I remind people that Gibsie isn't just a 'boy'and he was best friends with them before Liz? They're not just going to instantly defend her and protect her when they saw their best friend almost DIE.

That's all I had to say. My post is kind of in a mess because I just wrote what I thought and I'm also writing this as someone who's IN LOVE with Liz and not Hughie's biggest fan but sometimes we have to admit the obvious.

Again, I'm glad Patrick broke it up and told them to stop because yes, from Lizzie's perspective, it was an accident. But guys, that's not the only perspective of this book. Imagine how Gibsie felt, and Claire and Hughie. Let's stop sympathizing wit ONLY Liz and sympathizing with the others.

Thank you for reading. (I repeat, this is NOT a hate post in anybody)

Husband's friend hit on me?

Okay so for context, my husband and I went to one of his friend's barbecue a few hours ago. It was honestly really fun and I got to talk to some his friends and their spouses. My husband has this really close friends who we'll call J. They have been friends for years, like two decades I think. He was the best man at our wedding and I consider him my super close friend too and I text him once in a while. He also just got out of a three year relationship so that might be why he did this.

Anyways, so I'm at the barbecue area getting food when he comes up to me. We talk casually for a few minutes before he leans in and says if I ever get tired of my marriage, he won't tell a soul. I was confused before I understood what he said which is that he wants me to cheat on my husband. I'd never cheat. My husband and I agreed years ago that cheating was both a big no for us. So I told him I'm okay and i thought it was the end of it. Maybe I'm overlooking this part but we got really crowded at one point and I felt a hand on my ass. I turn around to see him winking at me like he did it on purpose.

I want to tell my husband so badly but I'm the tyoe of person to feel bad for everything and I genuinly don't want them to fight for something like this, especially if it was just me overthinking it. They have been friends since they were in elementary and I'm not sure if I want them to end their friendship over this.

What should I do?

(I apologize is this is not the right sub)

Edit: so before you guys comment that I'm stupid because he groped me, i was SA'd my whole childhood so it took me years growing up ti realise what it was and even now, I keep forgetting.

Husband bought me books

This is not a big deal at all but I am a BIG reader. Mostly in English but I love reading french novels and classics.

This morning, I woke up to a new book on my nightstand and a sticky note saying: "Thought you needed a new book to read".

I think i fell in love again. It wasn't even a big gesture but I just find it sweet how he took his time buying me one. Especially since he goes to work REALLY early (Like 6 am so he wakes up at 5). This means he probably bought it the night before and hid it from me. I'm just so happy, I don't know why.

I thought I'd share it with you guys.

I finally healed

Okay so this is going to be long and forgive me if this is not the correct sub but I just wanted to vent about what has gone through my life. This is my first time speaking about it after maybe 5 years. So I'm 29(f) and I've finally healed from my very awful past.

So i don't even know when it started but I got raped by my brother for years until he left for college. After that, I became bipolar, hypersexual, developed an eating disorder and did self-harming. I also started doing drugs at 16 and almost killed myself three times. I once tried telling my family but I come from a sexist household that didn't believe me and told me I was probably seducing him and shit like that. Keep in mind, I barely had a conscious mind when the rape started because I was like 2 or 3. They also said I had to keep quiet because he needed to go to college with a clean profile. I started having hallucinations and would see monsters and lost all my friends. I became depressed. At 17, I ran away from my house and met this guy who i thought loved me. He was really kind to me and he had money so I stayed with him. But after a while, I started noticing he was toxic. I hadn't realised before because of the need of validation from others but he would yell at me, throw things at me and threaten to kill himself if I left. He then raped me continously, drugging me and making me super drunk so I wouldn't be conscious. He got me pregnant maybe three times and every single time, he made me abort it. It's not like I wanted to keep it but he would physically drag me to the hospital and then when we would get home, he'd slap me and stuff like that. Finally, at 19, I ran away. At first, life was hard because I didn't have a house and I became even more depressed. Then I found a job, finished school and now have a job. I'm now happily married and my husband knows about my past. He's the only one that does except for you guys now, I guess. I started therapy about 6 years ago. It's going really well and I've finally healed and realised that it was not my fault all of this happened and my body isn't to be taken granted. I cut contact with my family, made new friends and I'm actually really happy of where I have made it now so I just wanted to share my story. Thanks for reading it all if you did.

Again, I apologize if this is not the right sub but you're not alone :)
