Second bachelor’s from SSCBS after already graduating from another top DU college

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some genuine advice from SSCBS students/alumni.

Has anyone seen a case where someone already completed their bachelor’s degree from a reputed/top college but still pursued a second bachelor’s from SSCBS, primarily because they couldn't access good placements after their first degree?

I’m in a somewhat unusual situation. I graduated from a good college with strong academics, internships, extracurriculars, etc., but unfortunately I don't have referrals or a strong professional network and haven't been able to secure any job. My college’s placement ecosystem was fucked up for my batch.

An MBA isn't really a feasible option for me financially. My family is from a very low-income background, so taking a loan or reappearing for CAT is mentally draining me.

I'm therefore seriously considering doing another bachelor's from SSCBS, mainly for the placement ecosystem and access to recruiters, rather than because I need another degree academically. Will I face significant problems again if I follow this plan?

Unexplained bruises on one leg

19F 154cm 42 kgs

I am observing unexplained bruises appearing on my body. A few days back I observed one bruise spot on my knee which was smaller but after a few days it has become double the size. Today I observed another bruise on the same leg which is yellowish green. I haven't hurt myself, I don't drink nor smoke. I live alone so the possibility of someone hitting me while sleeping is also crossed out .

What can be the problem and do I need to visit a doctor asap? If yes, do i need to visit dermat or any other specialist

How are SRCC people getting ITC internships?

I saw many students from SRCC doing internships at ITC..when I checked the job portal the only internships mentioned are related to MBA programs, so how are people even bagging those internships? Does SRCC get them on campus or they tried off campus for this internship??

19F Delhi – Need legal advice regarding family harassment, violation of police agreement, and ability to live independently

I am a 19-year-old woman from Delhi and have recently completed my graduation. I have secured a remote job with night shifts and am trying to become financially independent, but I am facing serious issues at home and would like legal advice regarding my options.

For years, the environment in my house has made it extremely difficult for me to study and work. Since my job requires me to work nights and sleep during the day, I need a quiet environment. However, family members frequently disturb my sleep during the daytime despite knowing my schedule. (They never let me study nor sleep due to which i survived graduation on just 4 hours of sleep). This has been happening for a long time and significantly affected my academic performance as well. Throughout college, I often had to survive on very little sleep because of constant disturbances.

Another issue is that the house has been under repeated construction and reconstruction for over 20 years. Portions are broken and rebuilt repeatedly, creating constant noise and disruption. This can be confirmed by neighbours. The house has been partially broken for all these 20 years. The environment is not conducive to studying, resting, or working remotely.

My parents also refused to fund my higher education despite my receiving admissions opportunities, and now they are refusing to provide any financial support for me to stay separately for work. My employer is a startup and does not provide any joining bonus or relocation assistance, making it difficult for me to immediately secure accommodation despite having a valid job offer.

There is also a history of disputes involving my father. My sister had previously filed an FIR/complaint against him, after which the police reportedly made the parties sign an agreement under which he was not supposed to stay at the house. However, he continues to come to the house during the daytime and claims that because he paid for the property, he has the right to do so.

I would appreciate legal guidance on the following:

  1. What legal remedies are available for ongoing harassment, verbal abuse, and conduct that interferes with a person's education, employment, and ability to live peacefully?

  2. If a police settlement/agreement was previously signed and is being violated, how can it be enforced?

  3. Can I file a fresh complaint based on my own experiences and current incidents even though a previous complaint was filed by my sister?

  4. Am I entitled to any legal protection or assistance as an adult daughter seeking to live independently due to an unsafe or hostile home environment?

  5. Where can I obtain affordable legal aid or assistance in Delhi (Legal Services Authority, Women's Commission, protection officers, etc.)?

I am looking for practical legal guidance on the remedies available and the authorities I should approach. Thank you.

Hello please help me out, I genuinely need some blunt advice because I feel completely stuck right now.

I’m in my final year at a Tier 1 DU college. I gave CAT this year got calls from a few top MBA colleges like BLACKI SPJIMR IIFT but I don’t feel confident about converting anything (especially after not converting K despite what I thought was a really strong interview).

Parallelly, I sat for placements somewhat impulsively and ended up with an offer from a startup. And I’m not exaggerating when I say this the thought of joining it genuinely makes me want to puke.

It’s not just dislike, it’s anxiety about the lack of structure, uncertainty, and the idea of preparing for CAT again alongside that kind of environment.

Adding to this, I’ve been having sleepless nights because my parents are strongly pushing me to take this job. The offer is around ₹1 lakh/month which is a big amount for my family, something we haven’t really seen before But they’re not seeing how strongly I’m reacting to the idea of joining this role.

On top of that, I’ve always wanted to work at a proper MNC. Since November, I’ve been applying through portals,no responses. For example, Samagra mentioned hiring from top colleges including mine, but parts of my application (like the intro video) literally show 0 views, while students from other colleges (like SRCC) have offers. So wherever I am applying it's going futile.

What’s making this worse is that even relatives with “connections” have refused to help and just given the same advice, keep applying through portals. These are also the same people my father trusts blindly, which makes it harder to push back at home.

Now I’m stuck with choices I don’t feel good about:

Join the startup (which I already dread + I’d have to move out for it)

Join whichever MBA college I convert (even if it’s not my ideal one, but at least I can start at a structured firm later).

Take a drop year, stay at home, prepare for CAT again, and try for something better.

At this point, I’m even wondering,.is joining whichever MBA college I convert actually the better option, just to avoid ending up in a role/environment I already feel this strongly against?

My concerns:

Is taking a drop right after UG (no work ex) such a bad idea?

Is it stupid to reject a job just because I feel this strongly against it?

I’m honestly exhausted and confused at this point. Any real advice would help.
