Hi I’m wide footed and tried some sambas, they felt pretty snug and looked wider than usual but I still want to buy some shoes with the same looks but wider fit and wider toe box !
Hey, I’m trying to figure out what path to take and wanted to ask people with real experience.
I’m thinking about becoming an industrial electrician here in Germany. It’s a 3-year apprenticeship, pretty hands-on, working with electrical systems, machines, fixing stuff, etc.
At the same time, I’m also considering IT (System Integration). That’s more about networks, servers, troubleshooting systems, less physical work, more computer-based.
I don’t want the “just follow your passion” answer, I’m more interested in reality:
- Which one is more stable long-term?
- Which one burns you out less?
- Which one would you personally choose if you had to decide again?
Just trying to make a solid decision for the future.
Hey, I’m currently trying to decide between two career paths and I’m a bit stuck.
First option is IT Specialist – System Integration (Germany). It’s a 3-year apprenticeship where you mostly work with networks, servers, setting up systems, fixing issues, that kind of stuff. So more infrastructure than coding.
Second option is Industrial Electrician (Germany). Also an apprenticeship. You work more hands-on with machines, wiring, electrical systems in factories, maintenance and repairs.
I can see pros and cons on both sides, but I’m not sure what makes more sense long-term. Things like job security, stress, work-life balance, and how the job actually feels day to day matter to me.
Would appreciate some honest opinions. Hope this isn’t a boring question.
