Anybody else sleep with headphones on every night?
Since moving in a month ago, I’ve discovered my upstairs neighbor rarely sleeps. They like to move furniture around at 2am, slam drawers, repeatedly drop heavy objects on the floor, roll across the floor back and forth in their rolling chair, etc. And then get up early in the morning and do it all over again.
So I bought some noise canceling Bluetooth ear buds and sleep with those playing fan noise every night, all night. I check the decibel level on my phone and always play it at a safe volume. The noise is completely drowned out and I sleep like a baby. I just hope it’s safe for my ears. And it sucks I probably won’t hear a smoke detector going off.
Does anyone else do this? (I’m also usually wearing headphones to watch tv)
Just discovered the show a week ago and binged season 1….
Only to discover today that season 2 isn’t dubbed…..very disappointing. This sucks. Any word on if it’s gonna be dubbed someday?
[Tenant-US-NJ] How long should I give landlord to fix fridge?
So I’m renting a room in a house in New Jersey. I paid for June’s rent but I didn’t actually move my stuff in and start living there until the end of June. Once I got settled in, my roommate texted me to let me know the fridge doesn’t work that well (I’ve since come to learn it doesn’t work AT ALL). But he said he told the landlord already so I left it alone for a bit.
Yesterday, I decided to alert the landlord myself. So I can personally attest it’s been AT LEAST 2 full weeks that the fridge has been out (likely much longer based on what my roommate told me). And I can personally attest the landlord has known for at least 1 day (likely much longer based on what my roommate told me).
Now that I’ve given notice via text message, how long should I wait before moving to the next step and what should that next step be?
I’ve attached pictures of conversation with roommate, conversation with landlord, and the only mention of repairs in the lease.
STOP asking for LeBum to be on this team. I banned him years ago.
I realize I didn’t make a huge announcement about it or rent out ad space in the New York Times. And that’s my bad. But years ago, (before his Heat announcement), I banned him from ever coming to the Knicks. He doesn’t deserve it. No flopping frauds allowed. The man was too scared to do the dunk contest for goodness sake. You think he could handle the pressure of New York? 😂 stop it.
I know you may be asking yourself “What authority do you have to ban him?!?” And my reply to that is “Have you ever heard of Nancy Kerrigan?” Don’t push me…..
Anywho, glad we could clear that up. So stop all the silly threads.
In episode 7, they played Chingy and Jason Weaver’s song 🎵
How many of ya’ll forgot Jason Weaver was on this banger from back in the day?
Renting a basement room. Any options to secure windows?
I’m currently renting a room in the hood (money is tight). And it’s basement level. I don’t want anyone to be able to easily break in and attack me or steal all my stuff.
First off, I’ve noticed the windows don’t lock 😱
I‘ll be contacting the landlord about that first thing in the morning.
Aside from that, is there any additional way to guard these windows from the inside? Something I can easily do myself. Just in case the landlord acts like she doesn’t care about my concerns.
Just moved to Fairmount
What do you think of the safety? Renting a basement unit near North 5th and Central Ave. Should I keep my windows locked at night? Avoid walking around at night?
Fortunately it’s just me (single guy mid 30s). Trying to get my money up so I just went as cheap as possible lol. I’m from the Bronx originally and also lived in Harlem for a few years. Harlem was a cakewalk with all the gentrification though.
Basement WiFi. No access to the router 😮
I just moved into a basement house share. There are roommates on each of the 3 floors. The router and modem are upstairs somewhere and I don’t have access to it. My new roommate says the land lord is not the responsive type. (I’ve mentioned the issue to her but haven’t received a reply).
The house has 1Gb fiber. In the first pic, that’s when I first enter the home and head down the small flight of steps to the basement. Then enter the common area. 259 Mbps. Not bad.
Then when I enter my room and close the door, everything falls off. The second pic is taken from my Fire stick. I see similar speeds on my plex server. Terrible speeds on PS5. It will get worse when all the tenants get home. Then I won’t even be able to connect at all.
What can I do? Is there something I can do to help myself get good wifi, even if I don’t have access to the router?
In the final pic, I have what appears to be a coax connection in my room? Is it possible for me to do anything with this? I’ve seen MoCA mentioned a bit. If that wouldn’t work, does the presence of the coax maybe mean I could sign up for my own separate internet plan if need be? (if the landlord allows it)?
Question based upon where the dub currently is (season 4, episode 9)
At this point in time, is Rimuru capable of defeating Milim? Or is she still out of reach?
Im also curious about how he ranks against the other demon lords at this point in the story?

Anybody else really liking this song? I’ve kept replaying it since the episode ended.
How can I remove these stains from a hardwood floor?
Visiting my mom and I’ve been hit with this question. She’s not sure how long they’ve been there but she thinks a few months. And they’re most likely from my brother leaving different objects parked there (his scooter or his dolley)
How far would you walk for parking?
I’m moving to the Roseville neighborhood next month and I have a car. I don’t want to deal with the hassle of street parking so I’m renting a garage. I don’t want to pay crazy prices (I saw some priced at 400) I finally found one in my price range The only problem is it’s 1.8 miles away. It will be around a 45 minute walk each way 😭
Do you think it’s doable? Should I get a scooter to go to and from the lot?

Moving into a room share. How should I organize/furnish it?
Hello everyone. I’m downsizing from a 1 bedroom apartment and moving into a room share. Does anyone have experience with this? I have a bunch of furniture and gadgets and appliances I’ll need to sell or donate. I’m trying to decide what I should bother moving to my new room. Or if there’s any new stuff I purchase that would be suitable for the room maybe.
I was thinking I could probably fit my queen bed frame in there. (The corner of the previous tenant’s bed can be seen in this pic. It’s a twin)
And I was thinking I could buy a combo dresser/entertainment center to put against that wall straight ahead under the window. Any thoughts?
I don’t have exact measurements yet unfortunately. When I visited in person, I neglected to bring a tape measure.
Anyone familiar with Fairmount? How's the street parking?
I just signed a lease for a place in Fairmount. I know someone that will rent me a parking spot if I need it. Do you think I'll need to do that?
