I want to get eye surgery because I have strabismus. I went to see a doctor, and they told me I need the surgery. The problem is that the hospital where I was examined is a public eye hospital in Giza. Even though it’s specialized, the place itself—the environment, organization, and overall condition—made me feel really uncomfortable, and I don’t think I can go through the surgery there. Private hospitals, on the other hand, are way too expensive. The total cost would be over 50,000 EGP, not including consultation fees, medications, or follow-up appointments.
