Hi everyone,

Recently picked up the brand new Roadster Medium (07/2026) from r/watchexchange as a surprise gift for my wife after she gave birth to our second child. Unfortunately she saw it and pretty much immediately told me it wasn't her style.

I figured I might just keep it for myself, but I think I still prefer the Santos. I put the Roadster up posted on r/watchexchange for sales and will probably let it go if there's someone who's interested, but part of me is wondering if I should give it a chance first.

For those of you who bought the new Roadster, what made you go for it? And now that you've had it for a bit, what do you like about it the most?

Especially curious if anyone was deciding between this and a Santos. What made you choose the Roadster?

It's definitely a cool watch and looks pretty different from everything else Cartier makes. Just curious what Roadster owners think before I move on from it.

Today, I'm wearing Omega Seamaster 2254.50 "Peter Blake." As most of you already know, It's light, simple, versatile and beautiful. Probably one of the best SMPs out there imo.

However, got a call for a grail watch a few days ago, and I'm considering letting it go from my collection; until then, I'll probably wear it everyday.

Anyways, what are you guys wearing today?

I’ve worn my PAM 118 every single day for the past month, and I’ve come to one conclusion:
I hate Panerai. More like... I love it.

Before buying one, I couldn’t understand the appeal. They looked too big, too bulky, too simple, and honestly… kind of ugly. I always preferred smaller watches. My wrist is about 6.8 inches, and for years my sweet spot was 36–40mm. I even thought 41mm felt a little too large.

Then I actually wore one. Now I hate it even more.

Because it’s ridiculously comfortable. Maybe it’s the titanium case, maybe it’s the way the cushion case wears, but somehow a 44mm watch completely disappears on my wrist. It’s lighter than many of my smaller steel watches, and it never feels cumbersome.

The worst part? It completely changed my perspective.

Now when I put on my 39mm watches, they feel… small. Even 41mm doesn’t look particularly big anymore. My old favorite 36mm pieces suddenly look tiny, which I never thought would happen.

So thanks, Panerai. You completely ruined my perception of watch sizes. I went from thinking 44mm was absurd to wondering why everything else suddenly feels undersized. I still think they’re ugly. …which somehow makes me want to wear it even more.

Has anyone else had their watch-size preferences completely reset after owning a Panerai?

Just picked up a Panerai PAM 118 (44mm titanium) and I can’t decide if it’s too big or exactly what a Panerai is supposed to feel like. My wrist is approximately 6.75-6.8 inches.

I’ve always been curious about Panerai, so I finally decided to try one. On paper, 44mm sounded huge, but the titanium case makes it surprisingly light and comfortable. It definitely wears larger than anything else in my collection, and depending on the angle I either think, “This is way too big,” or “This actually looks pretty awesome.”

The funny thing is that when I put it on, I kind of feel like I gained +10 strength and confidence. It has a presence that none of my other watches have.

For those of you who have owned Panerais, did it take some time to get used to the size, or was it immediately obvious whether it worked for you or not?

Curious to hear some honest opinions. Is this classic Panerai sizing, or am I trying too hard to make it work?
