Waking overnight with Chest Pain and Adrenaline/Energy Rush

Hi.. I’m waking 1-3 x every night with a rush of energy which is hard to describe.. kind of like a sudden surge of adrenaline in my body, but often my brain will still feel sleepy.. it’s not a normal alert feeling.

Often this is accompanied by a chest sensation that I guess could be described as pain.. though it’s not really painful per se. Edit: [My pain tolerance might be higher than average though]. I think it’s usually across both sides but a little more on the left.

Feels very hormonal, but I can’t find many descriptions like this. It does not feel stress related. The heart aspect does not feel like palpitations, fluttering, jittery, heart burn/reflux, pressure (I don’t think), or other descriptions I’ve come across. I guess tight and pain is how I would best describe.

I’m still in the process of being diagnosed POI/POF, and really need to advocate for testing/investigation.. but lots of signs do point to this. Canadian system.. doc would likely get me HRT faster than ordering investigative tests.

Is there heart related testing I should ask for?

Anyone else having this?

I think chasteberry is helping the frequency/intensity, but it’s still nightly (well.. the heart piece maybe not nightly, but often enough). I’m open to HRT as well, but I would love to get an investigation/diagnosis of endometriosis first so that HRT protocol appropriately factors that in.. can’t get anywhere in this system.

URGENT - What tests do I need to advocate for, and does the quality of clinician interpreting results matter? Fairly certain I'm earlier months of premature menopause (worse than POI for my chances if I'm understanding the difference), but I want an accurate diagnosis if there is any sliver of hope

My family doctor is terrible and in the past did not agree to refer me to a fertility clinic or for testing. And when I did see an endocrinologist they were also terrible and dismissed my perimenopause symptoms.

So now I'm here and it feels too late for egg freezing/use. But I just want to know for sure and act quickly. So I need info to advocate with my doctor asap.

So far I was able to see one fertility clinic last week without a referral, but now they are also being slow/not responding to follow up questions.

They ordered AMH, Oestradiol (E2), FSH, and ovarian reserve ultrasound for day 2 and 5 of menstrual cycle... but of course I'm not getting cycles anymore. Nurse said they are waiting to hear from the doctor if they recommend a prescription to induce bleeding for the test (but it's been about a week and I haven't heard back).

Q: know anything about this? I would think if we're doing that.. we'd want to try IVF at the same time?

Q: Do these tests make sense and is there anything missing? Are they conclusive, or more up to interpretation of the Dr? Does the skill of the clinician matter?

URGENT - Seeking global fertility specialist referrals in case there is any sliver of hope to preserve eggs/pursue IVF. Fairly sure it's premature menopause, not POI and that it's too late. But I want to feel like I got the best chance at this late stage from someone(s) highly skilled.

Fairly sure I'm about 4months into premature menopause (38yrs) and that it's too late... but I want trustworthy confirmation or to give egg retrieval/use a best chance with someone that can provide fast and skilled care.

Feeling devastated and so angry at neglect from my doctor over years. I'm already nomadic these days anyways, and I'd rather travel where I need to (anywhere in the world) if it means accessing better care... I don't have time or emotional labour to waste.

That said.. I am Canadian fyi. My healthcard is still attached to Ontario, but I don't expect it to cover anything anyways (?). I've seen one fertility clinic last week in Que, and so far they haven't gotten back to me with testing requisition.. and I get the sense it's going to be slow (but better than a couple clinics in ON that never got back to me).

Other questions...

From what I understand, there is no conclusive/clear test for these things.. it's more up to a doctor to interpret based on reported history with menstrual cycles, AMH and FSH testing, and... anything else? They can't just definitely tell exactly if there are any viable eggs left and go in and snatch them up - is that right? So much to research/learn asap to advocate for myself.
