Easiest way to watch downloaded movies on Fire TV.

My wife wants to watch stuff I've downloaded on our fire tv. What's the absolute simplest way to do this? Download to a formatted USB drive and plug into the Fire TV USB port? She's not the most tech savvy so trying to keep it easy for her.

Just need to vent

I'm the proud dad of a 2 week old healthy baby boy. My wife closed her esthetician business to raise him because we live in a HCOL area and child care is expensive af. Her income would barely be more than child care, so she's going to be a stay at home mom until he's old enough. We have local family but not for consistent and reliable child care. My job had a restructuring and I'm not as satisfied as I am now working harder, more hours, and hopefully the same, maybeee more money. Life is expensive and I feel immense pressure to provide and keep grinding it out. I don't have time to see friends and blow off steam as much as I used to. My wife is exhausted. The future freaks me out and I'm finding myself stressed and overthinking everything and feeling anxious all day. I love that I get to be a dad, and I want to be a great one, but it's a lot to manage.

Help organizing this side of my closet

That white dresser literally only holds my shoes. 3-4 pairs per drawer. There has to be a better way to organize my shoes that won't take up so much space so I can organize better. Any recs?

Wife is self employed. She's going to stop working June 1 to raise our son for the rest of the year. She will have made about $38,000 gross at that point, but she will likely write off about 75% of that (last year she grossed $100k and wrote off $70k). I am in sales on track to make $160,000. Last year we filed married and jointly, but my w4 had been married filing separately, we owed a few thousand in taxes. I am looking to update my w4 to married filing jointly and am trying to make sure I am accounting correctly, am I lousy at this. Using the table for higher paying job/lower paying job, it shows I should claim an extra withholding of $318 a month. When I did the IRS calculator based on our joint income, it said it estimates I'm withholding more than necessary with an estimated refund of $11,000.

What am I missing here? I appreciate any help 🙏. Does it even make sense to file jointly?

I was recommended to explore hospital indemnity insurance for my wife's pregnancy. She is due in two months. She currently has coverage through Covered CA marketplace. She spoke to Covered CA and has the option to make a policy change before the baby is due in June. She will be swapping to a higher premium with a $0 deductible and very minimal OOP max.

  1. Is hospital indemnity insurance worth exploring for her pregnancy hospital costs?

  2. how do you enroll?
