free tools cost me more than a subscription ever could

Tbh I'm a cheapskate haha. Like, spend hours looking for a free alternative to avoid paying $20 kind of cheapskate. I had to make a promo video for my project. Instead of just paying for one tool, I pieced together 4 different free ones. One for images, one for voice, one for video, one for editing. Ya two days... I spent TWO DAYS wrestling with these garbage tools. Exporting, re-uploading, fixing mismatched styles, regenerating robotic voiceovers. And after all that? The output was completely unusable. finally gave up and tried framia. Only one afternoon, done! Do the math I spent 48 hours trying to save $60. That's $1.25/hour for my time. I'm an idiot. Took me way too long to learn this lesson, free tools aren't free. They cost you time, sanity, and the project itself.

Different Seasons but One Emotion

I miss this animation and whenever I see this frame I just cry

Being adult is tough as we remember all these scenes but can't live in it

I checked every feature on the ring and forgot to check how i would leave

I had four tabs open and a comparison note with rows for price, battery, sleep score, daily flow and monthly fees.

Then it hit me that my note said nothing about what happens if i stop paying or switch devices.

my budget is $200–$450. no subscription and a clear way to export later matter most, but i also want sleep data i would actually check. i do not need workout coaching or training-load features.

Circul was one of the rings on my list. it has no subscription, and the data can be exported through the website, just not directly from the app. that feels more important than i expected. with a subscription setup, it can start to feel like i am renting access to the useful version of my own health history.

still, web-only export is exactly the kind of detail i almost missed. no subscription removes the monthly-payment part of that concern, but i would still want to know what the download includes and whether the file is useful anywhere else.

when you compare wearables, do you care more about the features you use day to day, or whether the history can leave with you later?

Why did they kill Tasha??

Do u guys agree with their decision of excluding tasha

I don't know why this episode made me sad as I thought Vivek and Tasha were made for each other
