Chronic medical issues are challenging my faith, what do I do?
For the last 7-8 months I’ve dealing with what I now understand is a genetic defect that leaves me in constant pain as it causes instability anywhere in my body there is collagen.
I’ve tried so hard to be optimistic and move forward with my new reality, but it seems like every time I adjust I’m thrown another curveball, and the situation gets worse.
I’ve noticed my outlook changing on the world, and I’m shocked by some of the things that come out of my mouth and that I think of.
I’ve begun to question things I just accepted as facts since I was a child. How do I fight pessimism and doubt when I’m in constant pain and so exhausted. It feels impossible.
If there’s a passage or text that got you through a time like this please let me know.

Are my commanders too generic? Or are they varied and fun?
These are all the decks I run, and while I find them fun, I’ve been told they’re pretty generic. If you agree could you tell me what could make them more unique?
Deck Breakdown:
Bracket 2:
Ovika - mana rock spam and burn using ovikas tokens.
Tajic - soldier tribal with board wrath sub theme where I do combat damage while clearing out other creatures.
Bracket 3:
Doran - rat colony deck that uses bloodbond March and elemental bond effects to keep swinging with rats and drawing cards when they enter the board from the grave.
Extus - mardu control that uses his ability to recycle burglar rat type effects while drawing cards.
Alela - dimir control that wins via anthem and creates tokens exponentially by cloning Alela. Back up win I turn all the tokens into copies of gray merchant.
Sai - I’ll admit this one is generic. It’s just a top + future sight artifact combo deck.
Tameshi - enchantment stax deck with lots of deck manipulation that tries to win through approach of the second sun.
Edric - elf ball deck that uses edrics combat card draw to fill my hand and win via over run.

Syr Konrad Deck Help
Black is probably my most unused color, I really struggle with making black decks that have a board presence before turn 5. This makes turn 7-8 b3 wins difficult even if I have the right win cons established.
However, I have a lot of mono black staples and really want to make a Syr Konrad deck. I want to focus it around discard rather than mill so I can ensure I keep the cards I want, the exception being the orb since one go around can be pretty devastating to the table. I’m putting my list below, please give me whatever advice you have.
I really need help with:
- Making it more discard focused
- Getting out Konrad consistently on t3-4
- Getting glistening oil equipped to Konrad consistently
Thank you for any help anyone can provide, I’m still pretty new to deck building so I really appreciate any advice.
Note: Won’t add mind crank. I know it’s his best card but due to how easily it spirals my group didn’t feel it was very bracket 3 fair and I agree.
