A rollercoaster of emotions.
in my first run I switched between uwu and wtf in seconds XD
This is a part of an interview with Astarion's lead writer Stephen Rooney about the process of romancing Astarion.
I find his take on the different romance endings particularly interesting, and I hope it puts an end to some of the debates among those who claim that Spawn Astarion isn't 'true' or 'genuine' - or that it was added later and therefore doesn't fit the character.

A very interesting interview in general regarding Astarion's writing process or Neil's influence.
Spoiler Warning ahead for the end of season 2.
Hi, I'm new to this fandom and a little cautious because I know how complicated fandoms can be. But I have to share how much I cried over just one sentence.
Season one already got me. I watched the first season three times in a row because it was so wholesome and emotional to me. It makes you question what you're doing with your time in life and how much influence one person can have on you and therefore the persons around you. The whole storyline revolved around Himmel and seeing how much influence he had, not just on Frieren, but even on someone like Gorilla or Wirbel. Because of Himmel, Heiter adopted Fern. Because of Himmel, Frieren took Fern with her. The phrase "because Himmel would it" came up again and again.
And suddenly i burst into tears at the end of the second season when Fern said "because Frieren would do it"
I can't even grasp exactly why, I was surprised of how much it affected me in that moment.
just want to talk about it somewhere thank you.
One thing that makes Astarion so strong for me is that he never stopped trying. He may have lost hope, stopped believing in heroes and god's, but he never truly gave up.
There's a lot of talk about the Astarion novel right now, but I just want to focus on one sentence. I read it and immediately thought of Durge.
Could this maybe referring to the Dark Urge??
For those who aren’t familiar with the DU lore:
spoiler warning: Bhaal created DU from his own blood; some assume he did this before his death 134 years ago. No one knows where DU was during the whole time. After Bhaal was resurrected - ten years before the events of BG3 - DU became the leader of the Bhaal cult.
and i don't mean the Aasimar, only the mention of the blood of a dead god he should find.
