LG C5 worth $300 more than UR8?

TL;DR:

Is the LG C5 worth $300 more than the new UR8? or $400 more compared to the TCL?

Which one will be more reliable? I want a TV to last as long as my current one (around 8 years)

Decision paralysis due to: every time I cheap out I get wind up getting screwed, I can't find a lot of reviews on the UR8 (on the UR9 yes). LG C5's reviews are amazing. Micro RGB is still pretty new compared to WOLED and less things to 'go wrong' with a WOLED (at least in my dumb dumb head).

I can also get the UR8 one day sooner, so more of an instant gratification lol.

Lastly, LG was purchased through Costco, so if I don't like it I can return it. But Costco doesn't have the Hisense but they do have the TCL, which is even cheaper by another $100.

I bought a LG C5 77 inch at Costco, getting delivered Wednesday, I realized after I bought the RGB Micro LED prices are cheaper. BB has the UR8 for $1600. Costco has the TCL QM7L for $1500. I went to Best Buy yesterday and of course they didn't have the UR8 on display but had the TCL micro rgb version and wow, it was mesmerizing. They had it next to the C6 (no C5 or C6h on display) and I did notice the contrast difference a little but the colors on the TCL was like a magnet.

The TV will be going in our family room. Mainly SDR content via Apple TV during the day and HDR movies at night. Side windows bordering the TV but no windows in front. The room is not 'dark' during the day and I always have some sort of light on (floor standing lights and/or ceiling lights on) during the day, it's Hue, so I can adjust the brightness.

Whatever TV will be replacing our 75 inch Vizio P series, which has lasted nearly 8 years. The backlight is going out with a neat yellow/brown center 'stain' that is getting worst.

HC Power Reserve Issues

Pic for attention

My last generation HC, that I bought a less 3 months ago from Jomashop, dies after 36 hrs (at most). I then manually wind it (40 turns), wear it for several hours and 36ish hrs later same issue.

Anyone else having issues like this? I am not nitpicky, I don’t care if the watch looses 3 seconds a day or whatever but at the very least, I want the power reserve to at least come close to what was advertised haha.

ELI5 : Trillionaire...but how?

Looking at Tesla’s P&L report, they’ve averaged $8 billion revenue (EBITDA) over the past 10 years.  Space X, average 3 year EBITDA is $14 billion. It's a lot but a far cry from $1,000,000,000,000. So how exactly is he a trillionaire? Is it the inner Industrialist in me that thinks a person worth that much should have revenue in the hundreds of billions of dollars?  In other words, is his wealth all generated off of Wall Street hype? Or am I missing something fairly obvious. Granted I'm a bit dumb/handsome 😞

Previous Gen Hydroconquest 39 vs 41 question

Hello!

In reference to the previous generation ceramic bezel and sunburst dial:

Is the dial on the 39mm more 'cramped' looking compared to the 41mm? In other words, does the indices and numerals appear more bunched up/busy on the dial? In some pictures it appears it does but in some it appears it does not.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist size. I have a 42mm Planet Ocean (reference 232.x.x.x.x.) that fits like a glove and the 39mm appears to be a better match to my Omega but I'm worried about the dial looking 'too busy'. if I'm making sense at all, sorry in advanced if I'm not.

Hello,

First this subreddit is a fantastic information resource. So thank you. Second, since my brain is a dense, the information contained therein has completely overwhelmed me.

I'm ready to drop kick my old Vizio 5.1.2 setup. I was wanting to piece together a 7.1.2 ish setup with used/preused/gently owned/aged equipment off of Marketplace or Ebay.

TV 75 inch, 4K Vizio (old, ready to upgrade that but I'm waiting for it to die). We sit roughly 10-15 feet away from the TV. I was thinking about LCR (with floor/tower speakers, since they will fit the room better than bookshelf with stands. if those can be height, that would be great. I want rear speakers with height at the very least, but not too big. The receiver, will probably be my last purchase since finding a 9 channel, Atmos capable, HDCP 2.2, e-arc, with room setup built in is going to cost a lot.

I'm willing build a 'starter' modular system and upgrade as money frees up. Saying so, it seems Polk seems to be the best bang for the buck on the used market. The issue I'm facing is the number of Polk models to choose from. From Polk, Polk Audio, Signature, Xt Monitor, RTiA, Lsim, TSI (lol I'm a VAG fanboy so IFYKYK), reserve, legend and blah blah blah.

Or I can ditch Polk and look at Wharfedale possibly? I was tempted by Klipsch RP series but the negative reviews here leaves me hesitant.

Thank you in advance!
