I’ve never been to neither and wanted to know everyone’s opinions! And if you have been, what places would you recommend? I typically stay in air bnbs but I’m open to suggestions 🫶

My mom told me that she wants me to plan three day trip that would be just us sometime in the winter or spring time. I live in California and want something not too expensive, so out of the country is a no go. My mom didn’t give me a budget but I’m open to anything. I was thinking New York but my mom was iffy on that lol and we go to Hawaii often so probably not there. I’m not really sure where to go? It won’t be a road trip so going on a plane is completely fine! Any ideas? And if you say a place that you love I would also love your thoughts of activities to do there as well. Thank you!!!
