My capacity to watch movies has reduced significantly during the past few years

I've been invested in 4k media since 2020. I bought a fald Sony and upgraded to an lg oled in 2024. I spent more money than I was comfortable with (not that it put me in financial difficulty).

Anyway, I can go days without turning the TV on, and when I do, little interests me. I have a combination of depression, ADHD which I'm seeking a diagnosis of, and problems with doom scrolling, although I've made an intention to stop using my phone as much.

My mental health affects my hobbies in general, but it sucks that I have such a high end setup which I don't feel like I get enough use out of.

It took me over a month to finish avatar fire and ash, I still haven't completed Ben-hur, I finished project Hail Mary in two days, and I've seen about 20 minutes of super mario Galaxy so far.

Sometimes it's mentally easier to commit to TV shows, although I can get bored of them too. Concentrating in the cinema is relatively easier. I haven't been in over two years. Even then, I did catch myself checking my phone to see the time every hour or so.

Looking for games that can help me to enjoy the single player experience again

I currently have a ps5 and a switch 2. I've also owned an xsx and a pc a couple of years ago. I haven't completed a single player game since the last of us on PS4 in 2015. 95% of my gaming has been online since the Xbox 360 days.

I've tried a bunch of games from AAA to indie. Either they don't interest me enough to start, I lose interest in them, get frustrated with difficulty (i.e. Sekiro), or I have to start from the beginning due to platform change (i.e. rdr2 and metro exodus).

During the past few years, I've started to suspect I have ADHD, which I've started the process of getting a diagnosis for with the help of weekly therapy. I also have struggled with depression for the past 10 years.

I'm hyped for GTA 6, curious about fable, and Pokémon wind/waves. Even then, I don't know how much I'll end up playing.

I dunno if it's just my mental health, or having to accept that my interest in single players just isn't there for the most part anymore. Online games can lose my interest too.

How do you guys manage to replay/restart big single player games?

I currently have an itch to play rdr2 and metro exodus. I've played them both for a couple of hours on pc before, so I'd have to start again on ps5

I've been struggling with single player games for years, partly due to ADHD, especially when online gaming became the norm on consoles.

Feels like I'm missing out on two really good experiences by not playing these games. It's just hard to restart.

I haven't completed a single player game in over 10 years

I struggle with depression, doom scrolling, and possible ADHD which I'm currently seeking a diagnosis for with the help of my therapist.

Ever since I got an Xbox 360 as a teenager, most of my console gaming has been online. I've tried various single player games since then. I only managed to complete tlou. I gave up on everything else because of boredom, frustration, or changing platforms.

I'm hyped for GTA 6, yet I've only played 12 hours of 5 and I've never completed any of the ones before that.

I've noticed I've struggled to watch movies and tv shows often during the past few years too. Even my creative and physical hobbies.
