Ork Gryowheel Bikes

I didn't really need more Ork bikes, but I had a cool idea for Orks riding in giant wheels.

Still have to work on the riders.

Cereal box cardboard, plastic tubing, and the ring for the wheels cut from denture cup lids.

Goblin Artillery WIP Part 2

My earlier post on the Goblin Artillery got a lot of love. The design was very much Goblins using whatever scrap they had on hand to build them and they looked incredibly ramshackle. As a concept it was cool, but when I started to think about painting them, they were like 50% tires and didn't look like anything else in my army.

I took some inspiration from the classic GW Ork Buggy and added wheel covers and a front armor plate, then a ton of Bolts to make them properly Orky.

Goblin Artillery WIP Skratchbuilds

When you absolutely don't want to spend $30+ a model on Goblin crewed artillery you have your Mekanik whip up a few.

These are made from Pen parts, Dollar Tree Toy Wheels, scraps of plastic, patience and glue.

The barrels tilt back to be used as a mortar type weapon, or pointed forward for Kannon mode.

Ork WIP, now with paint

It seems like every time I post a work in progress build there is inevitably at least one person who comments that it would look better with paint. Well, this one is for you guys.

I made a thing

I appreciate that the army lists are free online and you can even download them as PDFs, but I really needed a physical copy I can thumb through when making an army. Too many years and editions of Monster Manuals and Codexes. So a few hours of editing while watching Netflix and I have an old school pamphlet with art, based on the OPR models.

Now, I have a tableside rules reference that I don't have to boot up a tablet to read.

Kustom Ork Wartrakk

Tracks are from a matchbox sized construction vehicle. The motorcycle looking bit is from a Dollar Store Quad from a decade ago. The Rokkit Launcha is drinking straws and the engine block from the quad. Some generic mini brick parts, cereal box cardboard and a crew made from chopped up Russian Ork figures. Rivets are either home punched or half round beads.

Ork Shockjump Dragsta Progress Picks

I'm having an issue finding figures I want to use for the driver.

I refuse to buy the new Ork boys box at $60 for a driver for my $3 Kustom.

Edit: not pictured, I added another 2 Rokkit tubes and some Rokkits sticking out of the end of the tubes.

Also, think I may have solved my Driver issue. Found a box of Russian made Ork models I had kicking around that I never got around to using.

Ork Shockjump Dragstas

After making 20 Grot Tanks I figured I should move on to other Ork vehicles.

The Purple vehicle was a 2017 McDonald's Toy. Pretty sure it was from the Minions movie. It was some sort of Flyer. I Liked the overall shape and spoiler. Disassembled, removed pilot and wings, added wheels scavenged from some dollar tree jeep. Lots of armor plates and rivets to make it Orky.

I wasn't planning on making a second one, but I happened to find the red and blue racer at the Dollar Tree. Removed the scifi looking canopy, gutted the pull string motor and cut away a good chunk of the front piece to fit in the saw blades.

Other than crew, what else do they need?
