Need to buy a mower for the first time in a long time

I’ve got roughly 2 acres, mostly flat, a couple of trees. We’re surrounded by family land so I’ve been cutting a little extra around our property with my grandfathers cub pro z 900 72” for the past few years…probably close to 5 acres I’ve been cutting, enjoying it, and it looked great. Due to some family drama, I’m going to be scaling back and going back to cutting just our deeded 2 acres, nothing more, and will no longer have access to the 72” commercial. I haven’t bought a mower in years. I want a zero turn but outside of that, I’m not quite sure where to start. A local shop has a Toro Timecutter 50” with a 22hp Kawasaki out for $2600 that I’m highly considering. I know a Kawasaki motor is the gold standard when it comes to mowers. I’ve got access locally to Kubota, Ex Mark, Cub Cadet, Deere, Bad Boy, the list goes on. Thanks for letting me vent some and for any help!

Ohio, Michigan, or Indiana?

We live in west-central Ohio…I drive to Detroit a few times a month for work and have historically bought in Luna Pier just off I-75. I haven’t bought yet and now won’t be making the drive before the 4th and am looking for a good place to buy. I’m going to venture out with my son on Monday and will to drive up to a couple hours to find the best bang for our buck. Not looking to put on a pro show, just stretch about $250 as far as it’ll go to have fun with the family before our town’s show…Roman candles, mortars, cakes, etc. I’ve read a bit about KDI just over the Indiana border but looking for other opinions. Thanks!

ZLine 48” dual fuel not heating

We bought a ZLine 48” dual fuel range when we built our house in 2022 (sadly before I was on Reddit and did proper research). This past week we turn it on to 350 and an internal thermometer gets up to about 150 and the preheat light goes out, the upper element looks like this on the high bake setting. Should I chalk this up to a total loss or fight the good fight? Is Wolf the move?

White Dial Sport Watch

I’m on the hunt for a white sport watch with a stainless bezel. Right now my top contenders are the WD16570B and the Orient Mako. I know GMT vs Diver is kind of apples to oranges but it’s the aesthetic I’m after. I kind of have a thing for red accents so the WD pulls me in that direction; by the same token, the yellow painted arrow on the mako is a bit of a turnoff (small as it may be). I prefer the 40mm of the mako over the 38 of the WD. I’m also open to other recommendations I may not be thinking off. I plan on running the gamut of straps on this thing; factory bracelet, brown leather, OD nato, red silicon, etc. Thanks for any input!

I’ve been eyeing a KFA for a while but feel the dial is ever so slightly on the busy side. I really love the cleaned up dial on the new King but can’t stand the location of the day/date. Is there any chance they follow suit with the KFA? I guess that makes it more or less a Murph, I just really want a date.
