Why are we rolling backwards once in park?

My husband recently just purchased a 2025 XC60 and whenever we back it into our parking spot at home and put it into park, the car shifts backwards, almost feels like it’s rolling but the tires never move, it’s just the actual vehicle... Is this normal?

What car should I buy?

I am between a Toyota Grand Highlander and a 2025.5 Volvo xc90… I’ll be coming from a 2019 BMWX3, what car would you recommend if my top 3 priorities are safety, reliability and cargo space?

What car should I get?

I am looking to get into a bit bigger of a car here
and would love your thoughts!

Currently, I drive a 2019 BMW X3. My husband is in a 2025 Volvo xc60. We are looking to hopefully start a family in the next year or so and want a bit bigger of a car. We have a golden retriever and are often commuting to and from our river house, a beach house that is 5+ hours and my in-laws who live 7+ hours away.. I also have a 45 minute commute to work in a city.

What car would you recommend, preferably used? Key priorities for me are safety, space, reliability and maintaining a somewhat lux interior design to my BMW (who I adore and love so much)

What car should I buy?

I am currently driving a 2019 BMW X3 xDrive30i with ~74k miles and starting to think about upgrading before we get deeper into family life/dog hauling/etc.
I’m struggling because I genuinely still LOVE the X3. It drives great, feels upscale, easy to park, quick enough, and doesn’t feel “cheap” anywhere inside.

My biggest issue is space. We have a golden retriever, plan to grow our family soon, and I know I realistically need something with 3 rows / 7 seats.

Here’s what I’m looking for:
Used 2025 or newer
Under 20k miles
7 seats / third row
Leather interior + somewhat luxury/premium feel
Preferably quiet cabin + good tech
Under $50k
Bonus if it has a light interior option

Is there ANYTHING on the market in this price range that genuinely won’t feel like a downgrade coming from a BMW X3?
