Any tips or tricks to make sure it thrives, it’s my first monstera, do people usually name them?

I got a mini orchid from the supermarket and within about 2 weeks all the leaves fell off and most of the buds didn’t open and there is still good roots but the crown is all dry and hallow, will I be able to save it or is it a lost cause
