Mr. Scalper really said “just my two cents” while asking ₹850 for a ₹179 car. The jokes write themselves.
A little context for anyone seeing this:
I made a post saying, “How are we supposed to hunt for good cars when people like them exist?” It was clearly about scalping—not genuine collectors. I even mentioned that in the description.
Someone then reposted it on Reddit, and instead of discussing the issue, a seller replied saying that if I had the chance, I’d do the same thing and that I’m only complaining because I can’t.
Here’s the thing: not everyone wants to clear shelves and resell ₹179 cars for ₹850. Many of us simply enjoy collecting and want a fair chance to buy at MRP.
This post isn’t against collectors or people making a reasonable profit. It’s about excessive scalping that makes the hobby frustrating for genuine buyers.
If criticism of scalping feels like a personal attack, maybe the problem isn’t the post.
