For the fellow NASCAR and motorsport heads lurking this subreddit... RIP Kyle Busch.
He was the undisputed NASCAR World Heavyweight Champion of my era if they had title belts. Championships be damned, he was statistically unstoppable.
I was never the biggest fan of him until the 2020's, but I had no idea back in the day I was witnessing absolute greatness. Dominating Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings in Truck and Nationwide/Xfinity, having at the time in 2010 the single most wins in a Nationwide season, to 2 Cup Series titles and 234 wins across all 3 divisions.
Whether you loved or hated him, you cannot deny that he was one of the greatest to ever strap into a race car in the history of our sport. I had no idea Dover last weekend in Trucks would be his final win. It looked like he was getting ready to make a comeback.
I'm shattered we didn't see that comeback happen, but he's in Heaven, racing with some other NASCAR greats now. Red Byron, Lee Petty, Cale Yarborough, Rex White, Benny Parsons, Dale Earnhardt Sr., Alan Kulwicki, Bobby and Davey Allison, Adam Petty, Blaise Alexander, Greg Biffle, Bobby Hamilton, and Tim Richmond, I may have missed some, but the list goes on, and 2009 Nationwide Series Champion as well 2015+2019 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch, is now on that list.
Godspeed, KFB.
