I miss when tech had personality

Revealing my age here but I actually had a few of these items. Phones just feel like ugly brick surveillance devices now. Everything is sleek and neutral. No fun colors or whimsical designs. Everything efficient and cold 😔

Took my first hot yoga class tonight

I’m a gal who does a bodybuilding style split at the gym and also does a classical mat Pilates class once a week. This studio does some kind of bastardization of original Pilates and combines it with “sculpt” which I will not be attending, but I do enjoy yoga too and my curiosity got the best of me.

It was simultaneously terrible and great at the same time. It was a “slower” class but the room was 95 degrees so within the first like 5 minutes I was already sweating. Every other girl had one of these giant mat towels and I did not but thankfully I brought a hand towel because damn I needed it. It made everything feel kind of harder than it should have but at the same time the heat and sweat and feeling my heart beat crazy kind of “brought me to the body” as they say. I haven’t sweat that much in a long time and that felt kind of good too. Once I got to the cooldown the endorphins or whatever was happening in my confused body made me feel pretty good. Also at the end in shavasana you got a little cold towel placed on your forehead.

So while I realize it’s kind of gimmicky and absolutely unnecessary to do a heated class it was kind of fun in a sick way. Won’t be doing it regularly cuz it’s kind of an out of the way drive but maybe once or twice a month as a treat.

Inaugural nibble-posting

In honor of the new food tag I was asked to post some food, I love to cook and try new things, not always the best food photographer but 99% of the time it tastes great.
