Player's Pilot frustration

Hello

One of my players has a Pilot and his personating a power ranger with Mecha frame being a Megazord.

In few situation where they were in a room or a corridor there wasnt enough space to fit the Mecha (obviously), and player told me game after game thinks pilot is an useless class that needs a buff. He has seat modules and such and said he has to use equip action to change them. He said it makes no sense have as much Def as a normal person even when being in the mecha, or mecha weapon doing same or less damage than other players. Also told that you could pick any other class and it would have the same but better as Pilot.

I stopped him right away, and say that he can spawn mecha when mecha fits in the scene, and the group could always move or try to run somewhere where he could use that unless theyre specifically trapped. Dices rules about this. Also told him much like PCs equipment he can start the mecha with any module on he fits instead seats from start, but then would need the equipment action to change modules mid conflict. I told him that Pilot doesnt need a buff of any sort and its not the class fault have lack of damage or defense, because he choosed what skills and classes picked for his build.

He then talked like childish behaviour and im somewhat frustrated hearing BS (short terms).

-----

When i started this Adventurers League project i expected to be really JRPG alike, and i have few players that are good about it, but certain group of players just powercreeps, asks for more, ask for buffs...even, this player told he wanted to pick mutant for his robot, and i told it doesnt make much sense and what he wanted could be accomplished with Pilot, and after few argues about this he just says im gonna pick mutant anyways, ignoring my DM word, just because mutant is strong and suits his build. Mechanical>Roleplay thing

Advice on DMing

Hello

Recently ive been having problems in my sessions. When certain player is around everything is rushed. Usually, session goes like

New day, what have you been doing (its usually just to introduce what were the characters doing)

Then, i introduce to one or more of them an event. In this scenario, as the mage went to to look around he noticed a really bad scent. Like, rotting. He then went to his allies to call for it.

Then, the group goes to that event. Asks the villagers around, and investigate. After 1 or 2 travel dices, they get to the location.

The notorius monster (the ones who cause the problem) appears and conflict scene.

They defeat it and goes back to the village to bring the news.

They prepare and discuss the main target.

Thing is, usually session last 3h, but when that player is around, group rushes the content planned for the session and im out for interesting ideas to keep it going, making sessions last 2h.

Have to say that hes a min maxer dps and he uses every element so he hits weakness, he has cheapshot too, power shoot heroic, and the Zero who has +20 damage if atk with single weapon. So he constantly does 50-60 damage per turn, and 100 when that zero.

How can i make conflicts around that player? Limmiting vulnerabilities doesnt really seem the way because other players have reduced options to do damage, and this last monster put them on the edge due Devastation+ Minor hazzard damage at end of round (which because of their decission making, made a player surrender cuz defeated)(weakest hp player had 65 hp and that combibation did 55hp at much)

Question about design supreme villain lv45

How "unbalanced" would be if they key features are:

Zero disruption: players have Zero powers. His Zero fills when recieveing a sum of 60 non physical damage, or when another player fills a Zero. It returns every other player Zero clock to 0 segments and deals 5 damage per segment taken.

Alternative "win condition": has an special attack that is Unaligned damage, against willpower dice for check matters. Opens a 12 clock on the player that fills one segment per 10 damage taken of this attack. Once filled, character surrenders as if it was downed to 0HP. Player can only reduce this clock by emptying his Zero power clock 1:1 ratio (can do it anytime, doesnt need a zero filled). He can only use this once per round either start or end

Special rule: Boss's Zero additionally will take control of a player that at least have 1 abnormal status (Enraged, poisoned, etcs). If multiple players, it will be selected randomly. Only happens when he naturally filled his own zero, and not when it procs by a Players Zero.

He has weakness to Light damage, inmunity to poison and resistant to earth.

So ive been playong solo top for a good while but its becoming a sweaty frustrating gameloop or either you destroy enemy toplaner and even with that is hard to carry games or you have no game presence at all.

I wanna play a carry role. Between seasons 3 and 6 i played draven mostly, then sivir and jhin once he was released but im too outdated now.
