Plant now or over winter in the garage
I just picked up a couple of clearance fruit trees. Peach and cherry. I’m on the border of zone 4 and 5 in Minnesota. Would it be better to plant the trees now late in the season, or should I just keep them in the pots in my garage where the temperature is less brutal during the deep freezes?
Temps in my area usually hit -20f in the winter. Just not sure and would appreciate advice.
Also, I have like 10 other fruit trees I planted last year. What would be the best fertilizer to help them grow and thrive? :)
