From which plant were this seeds collected?

If seeds are not allowed please tell me.

I'm looking through the seed collection from my mother, mostly store bought, and found these seeds wrapped in a paper, obviously self collected.

We both don't know what this is.

I'm in central Europe but there's a high chance she collected them on holiday in the Mediterranean region. Wild or ornamental plant we don't know.

Was hat unsere Hirschzunge denn?

Ganz was anderes?

Why are dry nosed primates dry and wet nosed primates wet and which one was first?

I know they're both monophyletic groups sharing a common ancestor. Was the common ancestor dry nosed and the wet nosed got wet or wet and the dry nosed got dry? And what was the reason for the change?

Or just coincidence and evolution does evolution things?

Are there tricks for harvesting juneberry serviceberry Amelanchier?

I really like this fruit and they're a common ornamental plant (we have a native species here in Europe but it's rare. Mostly American Amelanchier lamarckii), but I always struggle with harvesting more than a little snack. It's so tedious.

Are there any "hacks" to make it more efficient? I thought about using a comb or rake as used for blueberries? But they're ripe so different. Overripe underripe and ripe together. Or does this still help? Or are there other ways? Or is it just tedious and that's how it is?

Do stranded whales die primarily because their blood vessels are compressed, or because their lungs can no longer function?

I know it's probably both in some way. But what's the main reason? I read both. I did research before but I didn't find it

I'm confused, can scabies(treatment) can cause neurodermatitis?

Long story Short, brother got confirmed scabies last spring or summer, infected mother and sister, last November I started itching too, did five rounds of treatment since then. Only one doctor, the 4., was a dermatologist, but she looked about one minute and said maybe yes maybe no just try one last time.

Today I saw another dermatologist. He looked only with the naked eye and not really close, more like one quick glance, and was very sure that it looks like an atopic ekcem.

Can this be caused by scabies(treatment)?

Is this a huge coincidence and it's completely unrelated to all the stuff from my family?

Is he wrong?

Questions about post scabies vs. Still active, diagnosis and skin care. No "is this scabies" pictures.

I have a few questions that are similar so I pack them together.

Context:

I struggle since November and had five treatments, first permethrin rest permethrin and ivermectin combined, with each one I became more cautious and paranoid.

I just can't start a new treatment on a hunch, on suspicion, on precaution, what's the english expression, not again. But it is itching uncomfortably.

Yes I'll see a skin doctor tomorrow, but I don't know him yet and the one I saw months ago didn't know that much herself.

  1. I know it doesn't work to send pictures and ask if it's post scabies or not. But what does work? What are the actual differences to look for? What does work? Are there valid clues?

  2. The itching is fluctuating, between about 3-5 pm and 11 am - 1am it's worst. But at night when I'm in bed it's mostly bearable. Does this mean something is this a clue for one or the other?

  3. Are the itching spots random or is the probability for burrows, if still there, higher near itching spots? Does it make sense to look especially where the itching is or isn't there much connection?

  4. I always thought permethrin was the stuff messing up the skin, now I read ivermectin causes post scabies. Is it both? Or mainly ivermectin? I hoped taking just ivermectin could help because it doesn't create new post scabies, so I thought

  5. If it is post scabies, what does help? Is steroid creme like cortisone helpful? What is to consider? Rright now I'm using 10% area cream for moisturizing but it's not getting better

Thanks in advance for every honest well intended answer

Can I control which camera my Pixel 8 pro uses?

I'm a birder I sometimes take pictures through a spotting scope.

I had a pixel 6 pro and now a pixel 8 pro. Aligning the camera works pretty well, but just before everything is right the camera switches which ruins the alignment.

And I can't align it to the other camera either, because when I move the phone away, it switches back.

I've also tried different zooms, but that didn't help.

It's really frustrating.

Edit: why so many downvotes lol? It's about Google pixel in the Google pixel subreddit, what's wrong? However, it's solved

Can this be post scabies or very unlikely? (Details in text)

This is on my thigh. One two three spots where there directly after treatment but new appeared over time

Treatment ended about a month ago and at least some spots are from last week. But it wasn't an increase in spot activity, since treatment they come slowly, the first ones healed already almost

How is poison ivy compared to stinging nettle?

I only know stinging nettle, we don't have poison ivy, only normal ivy (I know they're not related (and normal ivy is poisonous too)) and I heard poison ivy should be worse.

Does anyone have experience with both?

I often heard it should be a good vegetable but I'm hesitating and a bit sceptical because it really does not look tasty.

Is it really that good, if yes how is it best prepared? Or is it not worth the effort?

I heard and read whales are important for pumping nutrients from the deep water to the surface and to distribute them on their migration. People say because of this they're essential for the eco system. But there are way less whales than in the past.

Wouldn't that mean it must already be having serious consequences for the ecosystem? Or are there still enough whales for that? Or are they just one factor in the distribution of nutrients, one that stabilizes the system but without which it wouldn't collapse?
