Well ol' Nick Dampf, Head Hater is at it again with a MASSIVE dose of victimhood and a persecution complex that would make the "witches" of Salem burn up inside!

In his long, rambling, chiding FB and Insta video he lets us know we just can't handle a good Christian man and business! He just wants to pray for y'all so he did just that in a totally non-performative way. It definitely wasn't prefaced by calling Durham losers or anything, nope just a man being persecuted by agents of the devil right here in Durham! He prayed to turn us away from satan and followed up by letting y'all know he's a REAL Christian and not any of you who "celebrate sin" as he says in your false theology spread by your false teachers.

In the end he's threatening us with not actually setting up shop in Durham with a final decision yet to be made. Maybe we can pray on it.

Appears a serious accident with multiple first responders recently occurred on N. Roxboro in front of the Harris Teeter shopping center and West Point on the Eno.

Probably best to avoid this area.

This is a known timeline of the Farm Adventures’ baby goat rabies situation.

It’s very concerning they knew their four unvaccinated baby goats were possibly exposed from a skunk they found in their pen on July 27 yet they continued to hold at least 10 events, including with higher risk populations like young kids and elderly people, until Aug. 23.

On their FB page you can see they celebrated 7 birthdays and visited two assisted living facilities AFTER knowing their baby goats may have been exposed to a rabies carrying animal.

It gets worse when you learn they were posting unconcerned about one of the KNOWN exposed baby goat’s wounds that showed classic signs of a possible rabies infection.

Given that rabies is almost always fatal unless preventative treatment is taken and this is a public facing business that should exhibit great caution for the welfare of their clients and animals this situation is very disturbing and warrants close scrutiny by whatever relevant authorities.

PS: The children and elderly assisted living residents now experiencing the painful, lengthy, and very expensive rabies preventative treatment course should be considered and compensated as well. It’s hard to image the frustration, anger, and pain the parents/guardians of these kids and the families of these residents must be experiencing too.

Awhile back this area on Guess Rd., south of Horton (kind of across from the Napa auto parts store) was transformed from not much into a landscaped area with a nice fence and a sign post, but no sign has appeared and once it seemed complete nothing else happened. Now it seems to be mostly neglected and overgrown.

I thought maybe it was a new parking lot to access the Warren Creek trail that goes down to Whippoorwill Park. Maybe it’s something public facing like that and funding ran out? In any case it’s pretty strange and I wondered if anyone here had some insight.

​GREAT NEWS! Zee, the owner and person who was shot at the Silver Spoon restaurant on Mother’s Day has left the hospital and is at home recovering!

A pretty bad car crash happened (in front of the Ford dealership) around Latta/Infinity and N. Roxboro Rd. blocking the northbound lane and southbound lane above the intersection causing significant backup.

With the Eno bridge traffic is even worse, backing up for miles.

I’d avoid the area if possible.

Little is known at this time, but there was a shooting at Silver Spoon about 11:30a today as the restaurant was packed for Mother’s Day. People rushed out and fled when a server told everyone to leave following at least one gun shot that sounded from the kitchen area.

Edit to add:

The owner of the restaurant was shot by his brother-in-law who works at the restaurant. I’m not sure of the owner’s status, but he was taken to the hospital.

Apparently the owned tried to stop an altercation between two employees when he was shot by his brother in law, “Suliman Al-Mahmoud and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflict serious injury.”

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of information about the status of the victim other than he’s in critical condition in the hospital. Hopefully he makes a speedy and full recovery!

The shooter was physically held until police arrived.
