What kind of bee is this and what is is it doing?
I'm assuming it's some kind of bee, at least. Captured in a village in southern Bulgaria

I got a Pink Floyd DSOTM tattoo because I love the album and I love the visual: a beam of light representing a person's life path, passing through a prism ( representing life + the world + the people you meet + the experiences you have, etc ), being dispersed into its constituent colors ( ultimately representing change ). I got it because of my dad, because he introduced me to Pink Floyd, and because last year he nearly died from complications of his cancer. He's doing much better now, with a much better prognosis, but that whole experience had a real effect on me and I wanted to memorialize it. Except at least 3 people ( including the tattoo artist initially ) have associated the tattoo with the pride flag. They were understanding after I explained, but now I'm having second thoughts about it. Are people just going to assume I'm gay because of this tattoo?
Edit: And I want to say, I'm not bothered by this at all. Anyone who looks at my tattoo and comes up with their own assumptions about its meaning, and then has a negative reaction over it, that's simply not a person I want to talk to anyway. I'm surprised because that wasn't the intention of the tattoo, clearly, and it being misinterpreted like this just genuinely wasn't something I expected.
Edit2: This post got a lot more attention than I ever wanted it to. Wonderful comments are now streaming in, informing me how horrible my tattoo is. If you're planning on making a viral post on Reddit, take my advice: use a burner account. But I am thankful to everyone for your supportive words, the jackasses with negative things to say are certainly a very tiny minority. Overwhelmingly the consensus is that most people see it as a Pink Floyd tattoo first, which I'm happy to hear :) Have a good night everybody!
I was doing some maintenance on my NAS and this bay door kept closing on me. Screwdriver came in clutch. The whole context is quite a bit longer and very janky, I posted about it on r/homelab for anyone who wants to read: https://www.reddit.com/r/homelab/s/ehy4K1xwGW
Last week, my zfs pool became unstable enough that I had had enough of it. I was getting constant read/write errors and it would sometimes go offline because 3 disks would be considered "faulted". The cause was simple: my backplanes were trash. I don't understand where the issue was exactly, I suspect the connectors on there just don't make a good connection for some reason. Anyway it's a moot point because those backplanes are gone, instead replaced by a set of 3d printed brackets that can hold my hdds. The design isn't my own, I found it here: https://www.printables.com/model/1322064-35-hdd-cage-for-3x525-bays/files

1: A pic of my temporary setup just to repair the array. It didn't last because I didn't consider very well how much heat these things generate, so I ended up stopping it after the disks reached into the 50 degrees internal temp.

2: The new 3d printed brackets

3: Installing the brackets. It was a pain. Afterwards I discovered that actually the holes I screwed the housing into the case through were putting it too far forward, and the doors wouldn't close once the hdds were plugged in because the cables would stick out too far forward.

4: preparing to install the hdds

5: Yes, that's a ziptie. After discovering the issue with the holes, I switched to using a different set of holes on the housing. The problem was that for whatever reason, those holes were too small for the screw I was using. Solution: screw through them first with a self-tapping screw to enlarge them to the right size, then go in with the final screw. Problem: one of the screws snapped inside. Solution: use a ziptie and leave the whole thing wonky. Proper jank.

And yes, you are correct, that is a rack-mount case. It use to be rack mounted many moons ago, but I got rid of the rack because it was too impractical for the space I had. Still use the case though, for now. Next month I'm getting a case with 8 internal hdds bays and moving everything in there. For now though, I'm going to enjoy the jank, and I hope you guys do too.

Was actually out on a picnic and found this cool little guy. They're associated with beech forests, and its colloquial name in bulgarian is either "буков сечко", roughly translating to "beech chopper", or "маслар", translating to something akin to "oilman". The second one I wish I could give you a good reason behind the naming, but I'm not familiar with the etymology there. The first one is more obvious though, as these guys in their larval stage feed on old dead beech trees, and as adults will drink sap from injured trees. They're a marker species for beech forests and their presence signifies that the local ecosystem is in good health. They are a protected species in Bulgaria.
Last year I spent 3-4 months doing at-home dumbbell stuff. I enjoyed it, but lost the habit over the holidays and winter. I have ADHD so this isn't an unusual thing for me...
Anyway, I'm planning to get back into the habit, and I wanted to gather some thoughts on my planned program.
Equipment: 2x adjustable dumbbells that can max out at 21kg each + I've got an anchor in the wall I can attach gymnastics rings to
Program:
All exercises are performed for 3 sets of 6 - 15 reps to give myself some leeway with the dumbbells. I can jump at a minimum by 1kg per dumbbell ( I have 0.5kg plates ).
* DB Squat
* DB Straight-legged Deadlift
* A: DB OHP / B: Australian Pull-up ( via those gymnastics rings )
* Push-ups ( I'm too heavy to do decent reps, so I'm probably starting with knee push-ups and eventually progressing to regular ones once I can hit 15 reps )
* A: DB Bicep Curl / B: DB Tricep Extensions, DB Floor Flies
This is an A/B program, so I'll alternate between the As and the Bs. One week would be "BAB" and then the next would be "ABA". The exercises without a letter happen every workout.
My biggest worry is actually getting into the habit again. I'm really shit at promising myself to do anything and actually sticking to it lol. Would appreciate your thoughts!
