How are people working enough to warrant the DoD?

I have not had a dash full of tasks, ones I feel comfortable doing, since April, beyond a blip here and there.

While I feel sorry for anyone who gets the DoD, I have to ask: What are y'all doing? How?

DoD: spend anytime in this sub and you'll see it. The "Dash of Death", which is to say the message DA sends you when you are done with them. Were you putting in normal hours? Doing tasks you felt less comfortable with? Just had tasks in general?

What is the best and most entertaining Supergirl review you have seen thus far?

> I saw this movie and it was literally the most > incredible 2 hours of my entire existence, so good > that I now weep knowing I will never achieve such > heights again. You can not use mere words to > describe Supergirl; it is something that defies words, > it is a force of nature that transcends both time and > space, it is nothing short of an experience. One that > has power. Power to grab your soul and manipulate it > like silly putty, and leave you standing in awe. > Supergirl is a phenomenon, one that science will > struggle for centuries studying and trying to > understand.

I read this in a youtube comment. Wow. I had been somewhat tepid on this but reading that, I might just have to grab a ticket now.

The Anti sub - now making threads openly cheering vandalism

"Vandals removed the Copilot keys from display laptops at Walmart", almost 5000 upvotes, 96% upvote ratio...

... yet they act like it's a tiny minority of people who advocate for violence, destruction, etc...

AI vs CGI in movies

Just a question to folks, CGI in movies has sloppified so much, especially as it seems like CGI quality has just gone to complete trash since 2018.

Do we hate both AI and CGI?

Do we hate AI but are fine with CGI?

Is CGI capable of being incredible, but often slop (which I agree with)?

Is AI capable of being as good as CGI?

... I say this, having seen so much weightless CGI that just feels phony, and how much I prefer practical effects. I was watching the Supergirl trailer, which looks bad, but in particular, this big space tank comes crashing around towards the end, and it's just fake CGI slop that looks phony. My instant thought was, if this cost $1m to make this scene, what are we doing? Better to make a practical shot (and probably spend no more), but if this shit is what humans make, fuck use AI and just get it over with quicker and cheaper.

Pros are always threatening violence, just as much as Antis

I hear this statement whenever someone brings up one of the numerous examples of Antis using violent rhetoric, calling for violence, advocating acts of terrorism, those applauding these kinds of statements (very common), etc, and the response is always that Pros always do it too.

When? Where?

Please fill this thread with many examples of this. I am constantly being told this is very common, and I could certainly very easily show dozens of examples of Antis crossing a line -- so I am sure it will be easy to fill this thread with many examples of violent, dangerous, or irresponsible Pros.
