Is it worth paying more for a brighter portable car monitor?

I've been looking at portable car monitors lately, and one thing I keep noticing is the difference in screen brightness. Some are a lot more expensive because they claim to have brighter displays.

I looked through a few local options and ended up checking Alibaba too since there are so many different models there, but it's hard to tell if the extra brightness actually matters or if it's mostly marketing.

If you've used one, was there a point where you thought, "I'm glad I didn't buy the cheaper screen," or do they all look about the same once they're in the car?

Anyone here using a portable car monitor long term?

I've been thinking about getting a portable car monitor instead of replacing my whole head unit, but it's surprisingly hard to find reviews that don't feel like ads.

I've checked YouTube, manufacturer sites, and even compared a few listings on Alibaba just to see what's available, but it's still difficult to tell which ones are actually reliable and which ones only look good on paper.

If you've been using one for a while, what brand or model has held up well? Any issues with screen quality, lag, or the touchscreen after a few months?

What actually makes a dodgeball school-grade?

I've been looking at dodgeballs recently, and one label I keep seeing is school-grade. I assumed there was a clear standard behind it, but the more I read, the less obvious it became.

I looked through descriptions from sporting goods suppliers and even a few alibaba listings to see if there was a consistent explanation, but they all seemed to focus on different things. Some highlighted softer foam, others emphasized durability or safety, and a few didn't explain the term at all.

For those of you who buy equipment for PE programs, what does school-grade actually mean in practice? Is it mainly about using lower-impact materials for student safety? Is there a durability standard schools typically look for? Or is it simply a label manufacturers use for products intended for educational settings?

I'm curious because it seems like a straightforward term, yet I couldn't find a consistent explanation. I'd love to hear how you evaluate dodgeballs when purchasing for your classes.

Still figuring out chalk pastels...what do people usually end up using long-term?

I’m kind of going in circles trying to pick a chalk pastel set so I figured I’d just ask here instead.

I used pastels a long time ago but very casually, and I don’t remember there being this many brands back then. I kind of assumed they were all basically the same thing, but now I keep seeing people talk about how some are really soft, some feel scratchy, some blend easily, some just wear down way too fast.

I also keep ending up on these random-looking sets online and then comparing them, and a lot of them honestly look almost identical (even ones I saw through suppliers like alibaba), which just made everything more confusing again because I can’t tell what’s actually different and what’s just branding.

For people who use chalk pastels regularly… is there actually a brand you just stick with without thinking about it? Or is the difference between cheap and more expensive ones something you only really notice once you have used them for a while?

Metal storage bins – are there standard industrial sizes?

Looking into industrial-style metal storage bins and trying to understand how standardized the sizing is. I’m seeing everything from small stackable bins to larger metal containers and can’t tell whether most are built around common shelving/racking dimensions or if sizing mainly depends on the manufacturer. Noticed a lot of similar-looking designs across supplier sites like Alibaba, which got me wondering how much of this is shared manufacturing vs different specs. For those using these in maintenance shops or industrial settings, what sizes actually work best in practice?

I’ve noticed that many include things like textured fabrics, crinkle pages, mirrors, flaps, and simple fastening activities, but a lot of them look surprisingly similar online. Even while browsing places like Alibaba, it can be hard to tell which ones are genuinely well made and which are just well photographed.

For those who’ve bought them, what kept your toddler interested the longest? Were sensory elements like textures and sounds the biggest draw, or did interactive features like buttons, zippers, and flaps get more use? I’d also love to know what held up best over time, especially with regular toddler wear and tear.
