Hey everyone, just a heads-up from my mistake. I removed my frame sliders—turns out they were part of the motor mount structure—and rode after. Now the motor mount hole won’t line up. I’ll post a pic so you can see—the engine’s shifted backward, not just up or down. Has anyone dealt with this? Do you think loosening the other mounts and using a jack can realign it, or am I looking at taking this to a mechanic? Let me know what you think!

Hey everyone, I recently picked up a 2018 MT-10 and I’m trying to get a feel for what’s normal on these bikes at higher speeds.
I came from a GSX-R 750, so I know the MT-10 is a totally different platform: upright bars, naked bike aero, different geometry, etc. That said, when I get up around 120–130 mph, the front end starts to feel shaky/light enough that I don’t really feel comfortable pushing past it. I’ve read about people hitting 160–170 mph, especially after an ECU flash, but right now I don’t see how I’d feel comfortable doing that with the way mine feels.
A couple details:
● Bike is a 2018 MT-10
● It currently has bar risers installed
● Stock steering damper as far as I know
● ECU is getting flashed this week
● I’m used to a GSX-R 750 supersport, which felt more planted at speed
For the other MT-10 owners: at what speed does your front end start to feel light or shaky, if at all? Is some shake just normal on these bikes because of the upright position and wind pressure, or should it still feel pretty stable well past 130 if everything is set up right?
Also, how much shake do you guys consider “normal/tolerable” before you’d start checking deeper into things like tire balance, steering head bearings, suspension setup, fork height, bar risers, or the steering damper?
I’m trying to figure out whether this is an actual setup/mechanical issue worth diagnosing, or if it’s partly just my tolerance land expectations coming from a GSX-R 750.
