Am I being too picky about colors?

LV X TM Soft Speedy 30 in multicolore noir from BaoBao, listed as GX factory (I think this is the same as MB).

Price:

  • $211.90 USD
  • $31.79 for seizure insurance
  • $65.80 shipping TOTAL: $309.48

I'm pretty picky about colors, which is why I spent an *obscene* amount of time evaluating the 33 colors in this pattern. It's tough, because they can look very different from one lighting condition to another, but I now have a pretty good sense of how the colors look and what the layout should look like.

In the pics (which alternate between my PSPs and the factory pics from BaoBao's album), you can see that certain colors seem pretty drastically different (most notably the browns– which read as orange in the PSP, and the yellows– which should have three distinct shades. The fuchsia LV in the row with purple and mustard yellow should look lighter and more blue-based than the hot pink LV above it, but in these pics you can barely tell the difference). The colors on the whole look much more muted than they do in the factory pics (the lime green/chartreuse almost looks yellow?)

Overall, the colors seem off and the canvas is very matte (which I could likely fix if that was the only issue) so I'm inclined to RL, but wanted to get the group consensus to make sure I'm not just being overly critical!

6.19???

I began my journey into Repland a little over a year ago. I remember 6.18 being a big deal, but I was still so new I had no basis for comparison. Now I find myself wondering: do we typically see an influx of new styles (or upgrades) after factories clear out stock during the sales? Or is that just wishful thinking on my part, lol? BTW, I'm not passing judgement about this AT ALL, all retailers around the world do it. Just wondering if I should save my buying $$$ for after the sale in hopes that some of the newer items I want may launch.

Ok, so who else has noticed an influx of new backgrounds over the last couple of months? Do we think we're dealing with actual new manufacturers, or just refreshed backgrounds? This is the newest one I'm tussling with, anyone know her? Mr. Z/LoveLuxe is the only reference I can find, he calls it "DS Factory". Garmen doesn't use factory names, but says this is his higher tier for this bag. Thoughts?

Anyone else noticing a good handful of new "factories" on the scene? Not sure if we're dealing with new manufacturers or just new backgrounds, but it's definitely making the waters murkier. Anyone know this girl? I only have one reference (Mr Z/LoveLuxe's album) who calls it "DS Factory". Garmen (who doesn't disclose albums) has this background positioned as his top tier for this bag.

Does anyone know this factory? I have only seen it once that I can recall, referred to as “DS Factory”. Garmen (who I’ve not bought from before) has it positioned as his higher tier for this bag.
