I’ve made it to 6 months pumping (wooohoo) and I am currently in the process of weaning down to stop and switching my little one to formula. My supply from both breasts generally was similar with my left one producing slightly more. Once I cut down to 5/6 pumps I noticed my right couldn’t really handle not being pumped as much and was producing less. Now I am down to 2 pumps per day and my left boob doesn’t is still producing significantly more per pump than my right boob. Do I just go down to 1 pump a day and hope the boob reduces supply ?! How does this work? My left boob is also looking significantly larger than my right boob (it was bigger to begin with)
My 5 month old is very calm and easy when it’s just me/ her dad and in our flat. When I visit my in laws/ anywhere that isn’t her normal area she is so fussy and I feel like she sometimes cries at even the change in environment. I notice her looking around at unfamiliar rooms and starting to cry. She also does not like to be held by anyone else at all and seems quite scared of anyone unfamiliar. I am a home body and we do go out for walks, but I haven’t really been to any play groups yet as she is only just fully vaccinated and I exclusively pump, so I am a bit attached to my pumps. We have a pretty specific routine in terms of feeding and naps, and when she deviates from it, it throws the rest of the day off.
Is she sensitive to new locations and people because I am not out and about with her since birth? I have a feeling this is just her temperament to be honest, just wondering if anyone else has the same experience ?
My little one is nearly 5 months. Recently I have been getting awful eczema flares on my face and neck - I presumed this was mainly due to post partum hormones being all over the place. When it flares it is so sore and affects my mental health. I’ve eliminated processed sugars, gluten, chicken, eggs and some dairy from my diet and my skin has cleared within days. I think my eczema is diet related. I have never restricted my diet for most of my time pumping. My question is - how will this affect my little one ?
