Since the logistical setup between southern Tunisia and the western Libyan industrial zones is so close, I'm trying to map out the current automation landscape over there and connect with local systems integrators or engineers in the field.

I’m done with the basic PLC courses, I know how instructions, timers, and basic rungs work. However, I’m struggling to find advanced resources that teach "complete system design and software architecture from scratch".

Most tutorials just show how to map inputs to outputs, but they completely skip how to architect an entire plant or machine.

Are there any books, courses (paid or free), or YouTube playlists that specifically teach:

* System Architecture: Designing an entire process or machine sequence from the ground up.

* State Management: Building robust finite state machines (like PackML / s88) instead of using a messy web of loose Boolean flags.

* Fault Handling & Recovery: How to safely trap interlocks, handle exceptions mid-sequence, freeze state memory, and execute clean recovery sequences to resume operation safely without losing process data.
