XChadballX forever. Probably one of my favorite NFG songs of all time.

Recently blacked out and added EMGs to my Ebony CS LP Custom. Soundwise I really wanted an EMG LP for Zakk Wylde inspired riffs and playing, the look of it is more inspired by Kirk Hammett and/or Matt Heafy 🤘

Before on the top row, after on the bottom row. So subtle that had I not pointed it out I don’t think anyone would have noticed. I love it though - I think it gives it a more modern/darker look!

Found this listed incorrectly on GC (I think they thought it was an S2) for a killer price. Was in “Good Condition” according to them. Arrived pretty dirty and with corrosion on the pickup covers. Some Naptha + Nu Finish Scratch Dr + MusicNomad Guitar One Polish/Cleaner + some Bar Keeper’s Friend and et voila! She really woke up after that!

Top looked plain in the horrible GC photos, but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived - especially when viewing from the side.

Had a hard time identifying the actual finish though, as every other Scarlet Smokeburst looked completely different. Have any of you seen another one finished like this?

While my Custom is not a Zakk Wylde model, I do think the gold metal truss rod cover would match the Alpine White quite nicely. Every option I’ve found online looks cheap or has something off about it. Any ideas on how I can source one of these without having to spend thousands on an actual ZW LPC? 🤣

Currently building up some gloss coats for the racing stripe, then level sanding it and hitting the entire body with some coats of satin, then they'll polish sand and buff the stripes back to gloss, leaving the rest of the body satin.

The goal also being that there is no delineation to the touch between the satin and gloss parts where the lines are. Witness lines for the neck pickup are no longer visible now even at this point. Can't wait to see it finished!!!

I traded two of my LPs for one more Custom. I somehow went from pining after my dream guitar for decades, to getting two of them within a month, lol. Getting my first Custom Shop really put into perspective just how nice they truly are - so trading two of my US production LPs for another one, seemed worth it to me. No money being exchanged and walking out of a guitar shop with a receipt that said $0 for a Les Paul Custom…I felt like I was practically stealing - haha!

I loved my Alpine White LPC so much, I had to get the Ebony too! Lol. No money being exchanged definitely helped.

The more photos that come in, the more excited I get! The lines left on the neck pickup cavity area will disappear after some more clear and leveling. Second photo was immediately after pulling the tape before scraping and cleaning up the binding - just to get an idea. And I know some were curious about Bloom doing a standard satin finish (non-open pore) and I’ve got to say that for not being done yet it already looks fantastic!

Just snagged my dream guitar this weekend, CS LPC in Alpine White!

This has been my dream guitar for well over 30 years…I can’t believe it is here! This is also my first Custom Shop Les Paul ever. Still in shock as I never thought this day would come.

I’ve tried every tactical that can “affect” an enemy and had zero luck. Skill issue or am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

Old bandmate corrected me and sent me this photo! It jogged my memory a bit. Early 00s Custom, Made In Korea I believe, with Gibson USA pickups installed. At the time, still didn’t sound/play as good as my 02 Gibson LP Studio and/or my 03 Gibson LP Classic, so she got nixed from the lineup pretty quickly (hence me not remembering). But damn was she pretty!

Customized my new guitar tuner pedal with a few familiar screens!

Snagged a new Canvas tuner for tour - besides being an absolutely stellar tuner, I love that you can upload photos and customize the screen for when it’s muted. Been a blink fan since the beginning, but a UFO and X-Files enthusiast for even longer!

What was your first Les Paul? I’d love to hear below and we can stroll down memory lane together. Technically, mine was 2003 Les Paul Classic…but I couldn’t find any photos of it anywhere (though I vaguely remember having a picture of it on actual film at one point, haha.) I bought this one shortly after and toured with it for well over a decade as my main - 2002 Alpine White Studio with Ebony Fretboard. Should have never let that one go!

Can’t believe how well these P-90 Pros pair with a high gain amp setting! Obviously the JB55 can handle blues and classic rock no problem, but I am pleasantly surprised with how they sound with my “heavier” tone setting. Signal chain is Neural NanoCortex (using Peavey 6605+ capture) -> EHX 44 Magnum Power Amp -> Mesa 4x12 Traditional w/ V30s.

Been a Gibson guy my whole life. It’s not that I was against Epiphones, I just never came across one that really spoke to me - that changed this week! Enter the Joe Bonamassa 1955 Epiphone Les Paul Standard Copper Iridescent - man, what a sleeper guitar.

I bought it because I wanted an affordable P-90 Les Paul that I could fly with while touring, one that if damaged it wouldn’t be a huge loss. Well…now the problem is I absolutely love this LP and would be totally bummed if it got destroyed, lol.

The older siblings are taking very good care of their newest little sibling. Pleasantly surprised at how well the Joe Bonamassa 1955 is holding up compared to the heavy hitters. I’ve never sought out an Epi until this one, and I am not disappointed!
