Busses in high temperature weather

Quick one for the collective, what are the rules or more importantly the additional safety aspects that Bus drivers and Bus companies should be doing if temperatures get unusually hot for your area.

Background Irish Bus driver, our temperature normally doesn't get higher than low 20's degrees C. (Less than 73f) And a similar bus driver problem world wide, can't drink too much because lack of toilet facilities. AC doesn't really exist in most of the buses for cab area. No known guidelines from company or national transport because high temperature isn't common in Ireland.

So any guidance would be appreciated.

Maybe you’re a just an effin’ nerd

Hotel getting breakfast. Next table over a group of travelling co-workers talking.

Dude is going deep on how radio waves interact with the ionosphere and history of tech all without taking a breath.

His coworker (distractingly attractive, female about his age) is dialled all the way into it but he doesn’t notice.

He then shyly catches himself and says “sorry I just like that kind of stuff”.

She leans in with what looks like genuine interest, smiles and says, “maybe you’re just an effin’ nerd”.

He totally missed the cue.

Gonna pray for him, because she looks like she was ready to have his kids…

Rosslare Hotel

Below was sent via the work motorbike Whatsapp group from the Paddy Dakar Whatsapp group - not my bike but another member of the Irish community heading to ABR. Any sightings please get footage, location direction etc give Garda heads up and there are plenty of FB club pages that might be in a position to assist.

So lads - heads up on bike security.

Had my bike stolen last night outside hotel in Rosslare before ferry to ABR. Mine Tommys and Justas’s bike tied together with wire lock. I’ve no tracker or alarm. Hotel and Gardai said very rare occurrence here. My room was nearest bike on ground floor - 5m away and window open. Heard nothing. No CCTV. If ye are in any other groups will ye share this in case it turns up. 232 MH93

Lessons

- wire lock not much use even linked

- alarm important

- tracker if it notifies when bike moves

I’d say a ULock which difficult to saw be best.

Wishing the very worst luck on the cunts that did this.
