My buddy got an overpayment letter because he failed to update the VBA of his divorce.
He was divorced 8 years ago, got remarried within 6 months of the divorce ,didn’t update his dependent to reflect the new marriage and now the VBA is attempting to collect an overpayment for 8 years since his divorce, even though he was married for 7+ years.
