User Feedback & Community Update 🔔

Just wanted to give everyone an update on what we're working on and to get more feedback from you.

  1. Yesterday we released a minor update to our AI - subscribers should notice the difference. Let me know what you think. It uses about 30% more compute - so intelligence is up.
  2. Apple approved our latest version, and going forward it looks like our approvals will be faster. 🏎️
  3. Persona is still not released on iOS yet - the code is almost completed, and expect to have it rolled out on Saturday or Monday. Sorry for the delay! 🐢 - we wanted to take our time and try and get it right the first time.
  4. We've also improved our feed on iOS you should see some improvements there.
  5. Finally, the filter is still overly sensitive - we hope to have an improvement rolled out today!

CHAI: Persona Update ℹ️ and Improving Safety 👷‍♂️

We have updated the Chai Apple app with persona and bot-memory and advanced bot-builder tools. We are currently waiting for Apple to approve our latest build so we can release the feature.

AI apps are currently facing extra scrutiny and so the review process is taking longer.

We're still a small team, only 15 engineers, and almost 2 million daily users. But we take all user complaints seriously, and are working hard to build something that is fun, enjoyable and safe.

Please share your thoughts on how we can improve safety at Chai - are the filters too sensitive? Is there anything that isn't filtered but should be? What about 18+ verification?

A quick update - CHAI is now available on both Apples App Store and Google Play Store.

[MEGATHREAD] Chat History - Should it be preserved or is the new system better?

Today we rolled out an experimental feature to more users.

Instead of showing all of their messages for all of time. We have begun testing showing only messages from the most recent 14 days.

Please comment below if you prefer the old system, or if you like the new system, or if you have any ideas on what we can further improve please share!
