After two years on Zep. I have got the worst side affects 😭

Honestly..this is probably my fault too.

I’ve been on Zep since April 2024, and have been on 10mg since Oct 2025. On Tuesday night, I went to dinner at outback and had a semi balanced meal which was grilled chicken, broccoli, and Mac and cheese. I probably ate half of everything like usual. Prior to that, the table ordered a bloomin onion, and it’s one of my favorites and I hadn’t ate it in a loooong time. Ate a few bites and that was it.

I was due for my shot that evening, and injected on my thigh. I usually rotate injections around my belly button and the two fattest parts of my thighs.

Next morning… SICK AS A DOG! I had terrible sulfur burps all day and felt like there was a bubble in my stomach. I take mag citrate tablets before bed, so by the morning I had my regular BM. Ate a clean lunch and decided to have pulled chicken for dinner 😭 about five minutes after eating instant diarrhea..and continued that evening. Then for the first time ever on Zep.. threw up EVERYTHING from the day, and continued to do so throughout out the evening from both ends 😭😭

I ended up getting tums and gas c that helped a little but not 100%. I only felt relief when I threw up.

I WFH and always push through when I’m sick but I barely got sleep and had to call in. Going to the store to get pedialyte and Gatorade soon.

I post this to say..watch what you eat before injection day and the day after!!

next steps in career?

I’ve been working in health Insurance for 3 years. Prior to insurance, I worked in the medical device industry. First 18 months I was a claims rep, processing claims. And last year I got promoted as a claims reimbursement auditor (non-phones) . I recently obtained my MBA in Healthcare Management and passed the NY Health & Accident Adjusters license recently that my job signed me up for. I plan on staying in the insurance world. What types of roles would be best for me?

Thinking possibly analyst type roles? I don’t want to go back into being a claims rep/adjuster tbh. *don’t want to be on the phones lol* I was planning on getting a Microsoft Business Analyst Cert, but wanted to see if I should get additional insurance type certs/licenses?

What’s everybody’s career goals after finishing your degree?

I finished my MBA-HCM in March, completed & passed a licensure exam at my job this week. I have about 7 years of work experience in healthcare operations. I currently work in the health insurance industry doing reimbursement quality. I plan on doing a Microsoft Business Analyst Cert over the summer, and start applying for healthcare business analyst roles in the fall!

I’ve been on brand Zepbound since April 2024, and unfortunately my insurance stopped covering Zepbound this year. I stocked piled some boxes, and have only two maybe three boxes left of Zep. (currently on 10mg as my maintenance dose, noticed some weight gain possibly need an increase of dose) My doctor put in a script for Wegovy .5mg & 1mg but haven’t started due to wanting to use my Zep supply. Has anyone done well on Wegovy for maintenance? I love Zep and hate to switch to Weg if I’ll start gaining again since it’s such a low dose.

How has compounded tirz been for maintenance? And what tele health companies do you all recommend?
